The best ayurvedic brand
Here is how I make my most simple and moisturising homemade hair conditioner: mix coconut milk, cassia powder, and a little honey, then leave to develop overnight. When on my hair, I leave it on for a couple of hours with cling film/ saran wrap, and an old wool hat. It is a very slippery mix, so I don't need anything else to help rinse it out when finished (like I need help with rinsing henna paste out).I use this once a month after washing with my own recipe Shikakai and Aritha/ Reetha homemade shampoo.I have 3b high porosity curly hair, so cassia is great for me, being a mild sealant, it locks moisture in.I love Pure Organics ayurvedic ingredients so much, I don't understand why the company seems to be changing their products available on amazon, I am desperately sad. All of their original silver packet products are superior quality, and I have my own recipes that work for me, I don't want the pre-mixed boxes that are being sold now.

Good quality, not great packaging
The cassia's quality is very good, left my hair nice to touch and looking more full. As this is a natural product, I don't like the amount of plastic in the package. Wrapped in two layers of plastic – the instructions are obviously useful but I feel like this problem could've been solved another way. In my opinion a cardboard would work. The amount in 1 package lasted me 3 uses (I have shoulder length hair) but as I use it often it just seems like 100g is too little. Need a bigger package! Also just a note, if you want to warm up your hair colour, the producer suggests adding lemon juice to the herbs. The lemon really dries out the hair so I suggest a tiniest amount.

Doesn't dry my hair
Doesn't dry my hair like other brands. I use 90% cassia + 10% lawsania for 3h and my white hair become golden-(light)coppery. If I add a lemon juice (whole fruit or half), it will become golden only. I have light brown hair and the brown colour doesn't change significantly, it is slightly warmer, but honestly it doesn't make a big difference. I recommend.

Lovely cassia!
As my hair has a high percentage of grey, the dark henna & amla mix I used to use to cover my greys shows root regrowth too obviously. Looking for a lighter colour, I'm now using cassia with a little henna and amla added. The first cassia I tried was poor quality and gave disappointing results, but this one is great. The mix I've used gave a light reddish blonde with good grey coevrage and excellent conditioning. I haven't tried just the cassia on it's own, but I imagine that would give more of a light blonde tone to greys. Just be aware it won't ligghten hair!

Very fine powder, high quality cassia
Very fine powder, high quality cassia. I mix it with 6g of citric acid and add distilled water until the consistency is like yogurt. Then let it sit at room temperature for 12 hours and apply, leave on for 1-2h. The effect is amazing, hair is soft, strong and shiny. I do it ~ once a month.

Great product, good conditioning
Great product, good conditioning. I have brown curly hair with white hear. I used 200g o henna, 50 g of cassia, and 3tb of indigo, followed instructions from youtube. The brown looks a little redish, and the wites a striking golden-copper, with varied tones. Very nice!

Very good product in as far as it's fine milled and ...
Very good product in as far as it's fine milled and reasonably priced. 4/5 may be unfair? But the long and the short of it is I've never used it before so have no point of reference, I don't know if it helped the henna take and it made my hair feel dry. So if you've used Cassia before and like it I would definitely recommend it.
