As a technofobe I can certainly recommend this product as it seemed to set it's self up with very littkle imput from me. Great!
Before I start let me just say that technical I am not so if it works for me then it will work for anyone.I purchased this to use with my LG 4K 3D smart TV and it works extremely well. The up scaled DVD/BluRay films look excellent and I was blown away by the 3D picture generated from the 3D Blu Ray disks. It was so easy to set up that even I could do it (which is a first) and the large number of apps it comes with as well as the ability to show photos from your computer on the TV screen, have made it a very good choice of player. Great value.

Samsung sliced of fried gold
Fantastic smart wifi blu ray. Great price for 99 quid including delivery. .. matched richer sounds price for the exact same product. It's been tried and tested now and works brilliantly up scaling dvds to a high standard and the blu rays look excellent. Streaming from bbc I player etc with hd and looks good too. Good product and it has an optical out for audio none of that analog copper crap for ur whole signal......those of us in the know, know we only use coax for bass to the subwoofer this product is great and ticked every nox and it runs nice and quiet too.

Excellent Blu-Ray player with "Smart" apps
Wanted a smart blu-ray that could still play old dvds. And it does. Setup is a doddle, plugging in LAN cable and HDMI cable (not supplied so got Amazon basics one for couple of quid) changed the source on my TV and it worked straightaway playing discs I thought were scratched and would stop on my old player. The smart part is good for the catchup services of BBC, ITV Hub and Youtube. What I don't like is that I haven't been able to change it to all regions dvd - the hack codes posted on the net don't seem to work.Bought my first blu-ray disc (Star Wars Force Awakens) and OMG it is stunning in colour depth and sound. So very happy.

Not a 4K player.
This product will not play 4K disks.Bought 3 4K title specially for the device and got an error message from all 3.I think the seller may have been confused with the device being suitable for 3D.It does however decode Dolby true sound which sound pretty good through my sound bar, and being a Samsung it ties in very nicely with my Samsung TV and Sound bar, which is the main reason why I haven’t raised a fuss, returned the device claiming misrepresentation of the product and asked for a refund.Blu-ray and DVD’s it plays fine, no problems.Although at some point, I am going to have to buy a proper 4kplayer. Although it won’t be Samsung as they don’t produce 4K players anymore, and the last few models they released are either extortionately expensive or (according to reviews) not up to par.Which is a shame really.I’m only giving it 2 stars because despite it not being able to handle 4K media it is a nice device and it ties in with the rest of my system.

Quality Player from Samsung
Bought to use with a Samsung TV. It works very well and was very easy to connect. I had read reports that this model was very noisy and took a long time to load Blu-ray discs but that is not my experience, its very quiet when running and loads discs very quickly. Like all Samsung product it is very good quality and nicely put together and I would not hesitate to recommend this player.

All you have to do is plug it in and sit back
I have to admit I am something of a Samsung fan, I am not a smart phone user but all mt PC monitors and hard drives are from Samsung and they have all been reliable and excellent value for money. This played in no exception, I linked this to a Samsung 55" JU7500 smart TV and the combination is stunning. The build is a little flimsy but then I think that is to be expected at this price. Also the trend appears to be going this way unless you are a Home Cinema buff looking to pay out for the Goliaths that were all the rage some years ago.For the average users this provides clear convincing 3D and some stunning pictures for blue ray disks. Just like the TV it linked into my Wi-Fi network without issue and just required me to enter my network password.Really love this unit.

Very happy with the DVD player and the ability to play ...
Very happy with the DVD player and the ability to play from storage (which is super easy to manage). However, I'm so upset with the web browser. Absolute shambles, slow beyond belief and quite frankly some of the worst software I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. It's an utter waste of time. DO NOT buy this product if you are going to be reliant on it for web usage - you may as well go back to 1995 dial up!

Not up to Samsung's usual standard...
I am huge fan of Samsung gear, currently I have two Samsung phones and two HD widescreen TV's. I currently have a Samsung 3D Blu-ray player that's about 3 years old so I went for this Samsung Blu-ray to match my new Samsung TV. Sadly this BD Player is quite poor compared to the one it was to replace. I have to agree with the reviewer who said this unit is poor in comparison to previous Samsung players. It is flimsy and insubstantial and very lightweight physically. I agree with another reviewer who found the USB cover lightweight and likely to break easily. The previous player had a "screen" button on the remote that could increase the screen display on Blu-ray 2.40:1 aspect ratio films to almost fill the screen without the black bars top and bottom and maintain the correct aspect ratio. This player has a "screen" button on the remote but DOES NOT adjust the picture on Blu-ray discs at all. The manual is quite confusing in this respect and is most unhelpful. I have sent this unit back for refund as it is not fit for purpose. I have gone away from Samsung for a Blu-ray player and obtained a Pioneer BDP-450 for £159 which has a fantastic picture quality and hugely improved surround sound. It's a bit old school, being quite big and solid but it plays everything with high quality and for only a few quid more is a fantastic piece of kit.
