Will do the job, but check if it will fit your drill stand etc.
Great value for money, but purchased for the Scheppach DP60 710W Bench Pillar Drill, and unfortunately its mounting spacing is to large for the drill stand.Neither the drill stand or vice clearly specify the mounting slot spacings (why?), so its a bit of a gamble.Perhaps if I had read the implied spec more would have realised!Retuned via the no hassle Amazon returns system and purchased the Wolfcraft 3423000 Machine Vice which fits perfectly. If this will fit the slots of your stand and you don't need the additional features of other vices then this is a good value, heavy duty vice.Would I buy again - Yes if I had a drill stand that had the wider mounting slots.

Economically priced DIY vice
Brought to hold thin metal brackets while drilling on a pedestal drill. Does the job along with the grooved soft jaws brought to accompany the vice. Finish maybe a little rough but won’t be an issue to the average home DIYer

Basic tool
basic tool - loose screw thread and jaws not true.Ok for basic jobs - based on the price. Its OK for small drilling / workshop use.

Installing out of box
I was surprised it didn't come with clamping bolts and nuts, otherwise ok

Cheply made but does work
This little vise is cheaply made with narrow jaws. It does work but not for accurate holding. It is ideal for someone who is an occasional DIY and requires a drilling vice for occasional use.

Silverline drill press vice.
Well it was cheap, but it does work, i have used it a few times now and for the cost it was good value for money, I bought adrillpress and had to do a bit of work and setting up to it to get it runnng right, it came with no vice, I have alearedy used it to do couple of repairs and gotmy money back, it's heavy and holds the work peice no problem, I would recommend it, better than paying a lot of moneyit works fine. You can make and repair a lot of things with a vice like this, and it's affordable. The only way to drill an accurate hole.you can use it on wood, metal, plastic, even thin steel sheet with a wood backing, there is no depth limit on how deep you can drillwith it, it has a machined channel so you can drill any depth hole.
