I have had problems with wheels collapsing in the past . Are these sturdily attached to case on an axel?

No. It is ok for an iPad but 15 inch laptop is too big. I used a tape measure for you and 13 inch is about max

Any problems being accepted at check in?

Good morning. No. The case fits snugly in to the baggage size checkers (EasyJet and Ryanair). I always then volunteer to have the bag placed in the hold (free of charge due to on-board space constraints) with never any comments regarding the suitcase being too big, in any case, and payment therefore required. Hi. Has anyone had any problems checking in with Ryanair recently, have been told their dimensions have changed?

I traveled with Ryanair yesterday. I had two of those and nothing happened. However, I had priority boarding, which entitles me to 2 pieces of hand baggage. I suspect if one doesn’t have it, they might object. The best is to check the sizes, and allowed weight for hand luggage, on Ryanair website.
