FA-031 U.S.P.O. Shoulder Pad-Black

At the beginning it seemed ok. But after a few weeks the leather started to get off the rubber. Now I just have to fix it with some kind of glue... how unfortunate!

I liked the idea of this camera strap pad, it's fairly heavy so that will need to be taken into consideration when you have a long day carrying a heavy camera outfit, saying that though it is comfortable and is thicker one side than the other which helps to keep it firmly on your shoulder. Velcro straps are provided so that it can be quickly changed around when you want to wear it across the chest on the other shoulder. The quality of this item is clearly very good, which one would expect from an American company in their class.

On opening the packaging my first impressions were it was overly stiff and chunky, but after a few outings and some position tweeking to find the sweet spot on my shoulder it has softened and settled down nicely. It doesn't move on either shoulder and seems to balance out the weight of the gear in my bag. So far there is no sign of it delaminating, but looking at it's construction it doesn't look like too much of a hardship to apply some glue to any affected areas. As far as I'm concerned it's a good buy.

Was fine for a month but then tye glue started to come off and the pad and plastic part started to come apart.

Works very well - not given it 5 stars because for a lump of rubber it is quite expensive and heavy

Arrivata in tempo e in perfette condizioni. L'ho acquistata per la mia borsa piquadro che non contemplava un poggiaspalla (cosa impensabile a mio avviso), si é adattato perfettamente avendo la dimensione di allaccio di circa 5.5 cm (la cinghia della borsa era di 4.5 invece). Endlich ein Schulterpolster, das perfekt sitzt. Ich habe schon mehrere ausprobiert, aber dieses ist am besten. Der weiße Polsterschaum ist angenehm weich, die Oberseite sieht aus wie glattes schwarzes Leder. Das Schulterpolster wird leicht mit zwei gut haltenden Klettverschlüssen am Taschenriemen befestigt. Es sitzt nicht zu fest am Riemen und lässt sich einfach hin- und herschieben, so dass sich die Lage des Polsters der Körperbewegung anpasst. Die Unterseite des Polsters wölbt sich nicht nach außen, so dass es zu keinen Druckstellen auf der Schulter kommt. Das Schulterpolster ist zu einer Seite hin angeschrägt. Trägt man die Tasche quer über dem Körper, sorgt die Schräge für einen optimalen Sitz des Riemens an der Schulter. Trägt man die Tasche auf der gleichen Seite, wo auch der Riemen ist, verhindert die Schräge das Abrutschen des Riemens von der Schulter. Da hat sich mal jemand was dabei gedacht!

Very useful and good quality padding. Helps to reduce the strain on the shoulder and very comfortable. Very happy that I managed to get the last two pieces for my Domke f2 and Domke f3x bags.
