Seven Days With His Love Within: A Journey from Striving to Stillness Paperback – 29 Feb. 2016

I fell in love with this book from the Day one section, it flows poetically, is readable and relatable. The author expresses real emotions, doubts, issues that I understand without being preachy or caught up in self pity. I was tempted to read the whole thing through as I got caught up in the discussion, but I will heed Jennifer's advice and read each chapter and think. It's a great read for anyone, not stuffy or dry and engages without the risk of being pedestrian. The Bible verses felt new, I guess reading them alongside Jennifer's prose gave them a fuller, sweeter flavour. It's a good book to read and discuss with friends, family or on your own. I love it.

I started reading this book not knowing what to expect, although I love following Jennifer's FB page, His Love Within, which inspires me and so many others.I read with thirst and ended up reading the whole book in one afternoon, only to then go back and take time to read a chapter at a time. This book transports you to a place of comfort and you can feel God's love enveloping you as you mull over the words and think what it means to you. I am so guilty of worrying and being busy and it's impowering to be reminded that it's fine to take time to dwell on His love. This is a book you will go back to time and again.

Wow... Do not be decieved by this books appearance it may be small and dainty on the outside but its contents are big and powerful... The story or Mary and Martha is one I'm sure we are all familiar with but through her wonderfully written book Jennifer takes this 'story in the bible' and brings it alive. She shares her own personal Martha to Mary journey and in doing so compels you to consider yours. For me there were moments of pure revelation and moments of utter comfort that I'd heard God right but my favourite moments were those when the thoughts and ideas caught on the tip of my tongue for so long were suddenly set free. Me, my sofa and my cup of tea will most definitely be enjoying the company of this book again in the future! Thank-you Jennifer for being obedient, for being brave, for sharing your story and making yourself vulnerable. I have no doubt this book will bless many!

This book has challenged me to become still before my Saviour in the midst of this rushed and striving world. The 7 day journey makes it easy to read in 7 days or even 7 weeks, as the content needs mulling over. I will be reading this book again and again, as a reminder to stop, before I so easily and indulgently fall into my 'Martha place'. Thanks Jennifer for sharing your journey with us! I feel challenged, inspired and truly grateful!

An honest and real life story which I didn't want to put down and will read more than once. Well written and moments I think lots of us can relate to. Really touched me and I loved the prayers at the end of each chapter and the beautiful pictures throughout the book.

Wow what an amazing book. This book gave me a daily inspiring challenge to my life. It helped to open my eyes on how to "just be" before God and be the person God created me to be.
