Marvel's Greatest Horror Series Finally Arrives on Kindle !
I've been waiting for this one like a kid waiting for Christmas! At last...AT LAST! They've finally released Marvel's greatest , classic continuing horror series in E-format ! I have the entire run of TOD in its original issues, along with the black and white magazines, plus I have all the TOD Omnibi in their beautifully produced hard cover excellence, but I've been waiting, and waiting and waiting some more (!) for these treasured stories to finally come out for my Kindle, so that when I have to go to the doctors office or somesuch thing, I don't have to haul 30 pounds of books along with me! For those of you who haven't yet experienced this incredible series, I envy you for the enjoyment and wonderment ahead of you ! For the producers of this beautiful digital collection, I offer my heartfelt thanks - and a few wooden stakes and cloves of garlic!

A terrific collection of stories about The Prince of Darkness
This book takes you back to the beginning days of Dracula in Marvel Comics. It traces the roots of the character and introduces us to an ensemble of really interesting heroes along the way, including one who would become a standout star in his own right, Blade. This first book of the series struggles to find a steady path of consistency at first, but only takes a few stories to find its way into a direction of fluid storytelling. I highly recommend this and further installments for fans of comic, horror, or just the King of the Undead himself, Dracula.

Classic Horror Storytelling At Its Best
This book is simply fantastic. Great art and great storytelling in the vein (get it...vein, blood) of sixties and seventies horror movies. Each issue reads quickly, sometimes as if you really are watching a movie. There are excellent back stories of Dracula's past and eventually you may start to feel some empathy for Dracula in spite of his blood lust (get it again...blood lust) and disregard for human life. This book is pure entertainment.

As good as Dracula comics could be, even by today's metrics
This is a great book. Think Christopher Lee looking like Vincent Price, with the comic code keeping it PG, and yet, pushing the boundaries of that time. Yeah, that good!

Charming volume for the devoted
There is nothing here for any but the devoted who were first thrilled by reprints of Dracula comics. (I was too yoing for first run but have always loved vampire tales.) For those who were, this is a treat of a read. But I find nothing of special depth to recommend it to the casual comics reader, nor those without the taste for campy horror. It's all so campily sexual at points -especially in later black and white volumes - that you can clearly see the pandering influence of the uncomfortably over-sexualized 1970s America. Some of the art and writing is top notch for the era but, like most series, inconsistent across different teams and formats.Love Dracula and/or old 1970s-era and/or campy horror comics? This one's for you. All others, maybe not.

Colan & Palmer are one of the best art teams in Comics--EVER!
I didn't buy these comics when they came out in the 70s, but now I wish I had! When Palmer also acts as colorist, the quality goes up another notch still! Although Janson is also good on Colan, I wish Palmer would have also worked with Gene on Batman...In addition to being very well illustrated, these stories are also well-written. I especially enjoyed the DRACULA LIVES B&W stories, particularly the ones showcasing the "new" talents, like Starlin, Weiss, and Buckler.

The Definitive Dracula Series
At long last a copy of the series I can carry around with me. Marvel's Tomb of Dracula was the definitive series. Marv Wolfman told stories about Dracula that no one has matched to this day.

Tomb of Dracula complete collettino 1
I tenebrosi anni 70 al meglio. Un ritorno ad un horror certamente ingenuo ma affascinante come lo sono gli stupendi disegni di Colan

Dracula rises!
Stunning full colour reproduction of the Marvel comics of the early seventies. I read these as a teenager and loved the artwork and the stories. Really looking forward to reading them again and, maybe, seeing things from a different perspective. Also included are reproductions of the front covers.Surprised to find that the comic 'Dracula Lives!' is included (these are in black and white) - I don't remember these, but they look great. Not sure if a volume 2 is being released, but based on this volume, if it is I will definitely be buying it.
