Oak Meditation stool

Made of high quality oak, very functional and really comfortable. Absolutely love this stool and use it several times a day. Highly recommend.

Right height, just what I needed, well made and beautiful

For me, sitting in the "japanese" position (seiza) leads to circulatory discomfort in the legs after about half hour. So, I looked for a solution to improve the comfort in the legs. This type of stool is low enough so that you are still in the meditating position, but it allows you to put the feet under, avoiding the pressure exerted on the lower legs by the pure seiza position. One important detail is the angle of the stool. I first tried with an horizontal bench. But the corner of this stool was pressing hard my upper legs, resulting again in circulatory discomfort. I finally found this stool and wanted to try it immediately. It fulfills my expectations. So, here is my main conclusions: 1. The angle of the stool is perfectly chosen to adapt to the angle defined by the legs, so that no harm is done to the upper legs; 2. The stool has no corners, i.e., they are rounded, adding extra comfort; 3. The finishing is very nice. 4. It is robust. I am using it for some weeks (I work in that position, so you see, lots of hours) and there is no signal of loss of robustness. 5. The legs fold and the stool is very easy to transport. I just would advise some kind of pillow. But that is the easiest part. Personally, I am using a block of hard foam, but I think the manufacturer of the stool also sells pillows.

This thing is perfect. It took all the pressure off my knees and the small of my back so I could sit in meditation longer, and was so comfortable that (this sounds weird but is true!) the first times I used it I actually fell asleep sitting up. Twice. (Woke up gently folding from the middle.) Honestly, that more than anything should tell you how very comfortable it is - so much so that I am taking it with me on holiday soon. It is beautifully made too, in a smooth, simplistic way.I'm thinking of sitting on this in the living room as well at times, watching telly with my family for example, simply because it encourages good posture and has been helping my back. If I could figure out how to use it for desk work I'd rearrange my whole office!

This is perfect. I really struggled with staying in a kneeling position because of the discomfort and this is perfect and so comfortable. It's very well made and was delivered on time. I totally recommend 😃

The height and the tilt of the seat are spot on. It's well made and sturdy, and the wood looks good.However, my first sit on it, while adjusting and finding the right balance, I noticed that it would be very easy to topple backwards, because the legs don't extend far enough back, like chair legs do.* On the plus side that's an extra incentive to stay alert in meditation. Nonetheless, I'm going to join pieces of longer wood onto the bottom of the legs for the added stability.That said, I'm happy overall because of the quality of the wood and the comfort of sitting this way.*If the design was changed the legs wouldn't fold as neatly.

Great product. I am 5ft 8inches and it fits really well to sit on it. Very high quality. Well worth the money. I have always gotten uncomfortable after an hour or so meditating sitting in a chair but the position with this stool suits me really well and no discomfort.

It’s well made and comfortable. Allows me to sit while protecting my knees and lower back. I love it. I used to kneel or sit crossed legs and as I’ve become less flexible that’s become more challenging. This stool facilitates me sitting at floor level. Thee we only drawback is that the legs are quite loose and csn close if you haven’t made sure that they’re fully open. Despite this I’d still buy it again. I love it.
