Recently purchased another 2 'travel-size' umbrellas. This BESTICO umbrella and a Muco umbrella (see link below for comparison)MUCO Windproof Umbrella, With Auto Open Close Button And Teflon Coating, 10 Ribs, Non-slip And Comfortable Handle, For Travel, Outdoors In Gift Box______________________________When opened:This BESTICO umbrella has approx 102cm (40") coverage diameter [Please note this differs (smaller) from the listed dimensions in the description above].The stem [shaft] (including handle) has a total length of 63cm.Canopy height is approx. 21cm.In the closed position:The overall length is 33cm / 13" (without cover sleeve) [Please note this differs (smaller) from the listed dimensions in the description above].Diameter: Approx. 5.5cm (with cover sleeve)Total weight (with cover sleeve) is 465g______________________________The Good:--------------------------• Stylish in appearance.• Although smaller than the description claims, 102cm is still a large coverage diameter when opened.• Very responsive button operation - in opening or closing.• 10 ribs with strong build construction.• Handle is 9.5cm long and of a good ergonomic length. Made from a rubberised plastic material providing a smooth texture that also provides a very pleasant tactile grip.• Extremely effective water repellant Teflon coated material.• Velcro fastener on both cover and umbrella strap [Personal preference - better than button fastener variety]• Cover has a clip to attach it to the umbrella strap (or wherever else you want) - no more lost covers!• Includes small detachable rubber umbrella hanger.The Not-So-Good:--------------------------• Short canopy height. In relation to how large the open diameter is, a canopy height of only 21cm is quite low.• The protective sleeve has no bottom end vent - therefore not allowing stored umbrella to air and could result in collection of water drops/damp.• When opened, there is some noticeable twist (rotational movement) between the handle and upper section of the shaft - although this is an inherent issue with collapsable umbrellas - it feels as if this umbrella has more 'twist' compared to premium umbrellas we've had.• The detachable umbrella hanger works but gets in the way and will have to be removed every time you fully close the umbrella - not a big issue, but worth noting.• Umbrella strap has been inserted with triple (or more) twists in it. I would like to imagine this is not a common issue - but if yours arrives in the same state, it's very annoying when you put the strap around your wrist!! Only option to correct this, is to carefully flip out the oval plastic cover at the base of the handle and 'untwist' them internally.Conclusion:--------------------------If you're buying a compact umbrella for your SOLE personal use, then you can get something smaller and better suited. The diameter is quite large for a single person! - not to mention, if you're thinking of carrying this around in a handbag, the weight of this umbrella is one of the heaviest compact umbrellas we have (yes, we have more than your average household!). Then again, if you ARE looking for a large diameter compact umbrella... look no further.The 'windproof' claim is another misleading selling point (in other words - another false fake deceiving claim) for starters, it has no vents in the umbrella. It does however have 10 strong ribs (compared to 8 or 9 ribs in other compact umbrellas) - which is good, but (like other non-vented umbrellas) don't be fooled in believing that 10 ribs makes it 'windproof'!.At the end of the day the only real negative is - that there is more than normal 'twist' in the shaft and handle when it's opened, but unless you've had numerous umbrellas to compare, you'll probably not even notice... and hopefully the decent length of handle will allow you to stabalize it in windy conditions better than one with a very short handle. Time will tell if this rotational movement stays the same or gets worse with use.... The umbrella was good enough for purpose once it had been erected. However the very small metal control which had to be pressed to allow the umbrella to unfold was very difficult to get to and it proved necessary to push a key or other metal object into the opening in order to get it to work. Not very handy especially if raining at the time.

Good, strong umbrella. Large enough to keep most of me dry, but collapses down to good size for backpack or shoulder bag, though maybe a bit large for smaller handbags.While it does sometime turn inside out in heavy wind, it stays intact and can quickly and easily be restored to it's correct shape.I've used it steadily for over eighteen months, and is still almost as good as new, with all ten spokes still firmly attached to the fabric, and no bent spokes.Highly recommended (I bought two more for future use). Only loses a star because refolding it can be a bit awkward.

L'ombrello è estremamente robusto e comodo; sono abituato ad ombrellini molto più piccoli, e con questo è un gran salto di qualità.Non si piega col vento ed è abbastanza ampio da non bagnarsi nemmeno in caso di pioggia forte. Usato una sola volta il tappino per appenderlo al tavolo, ma è comunque utile.Un pò pesante, ma in generale un gran bell'ombrello.

Estupendo paraguas de la mejor calidad y gran robustez.Mango antideslizante muy cómodo y confiable de forma curva totalmente adaptable a la mano.Tiene unas varillas de gran resistencia al viento Y parece muy difícil de estropear aunque haya mucho aire con la lluvia.No todos los paraguas son iguales y este, con un precio muy razonable parece muy duradero, que al final es lo más valioso en un artículo cotidiano tan habitual como este.Vendedor muy serio y envío muy rápido en un paquete que protege totalmente el artículo.Muy recomendable

Ich habe eigentlich immer Schirme im Auto liegen, nur um sie dann dort zu vergessen. Der alte Schirm war groß, aber man konnte ihn nicht in eine Tasche packen. Aus diesem Grund habe ich mir diesen Taschenschirm zugelegt, der einen sehr robusten und qualitativ hochwertigen Eindruck macht. Der Griff liegt gut in der Hand und man den Schirm per Knopfdruck aufspannen und wieder schließen. Will man ihn zusammen legen, so muss man den Arm wieder zusammen drücken, bis er einrastet. Das ist alles sehr einfach. Damit der Schirm besser trocknen kann, liegt eine Halterung für die Dusche / für die Garderobe bei, mit dem man den Schirm wieder einhängen kann. Fortan wird er bei schlechtem Wetter stets mein treuer Begleiter sein.

parapluie compact , facile à emporter partout . Avec les 30degrés que l'on avait ici , pas facile de le sortir , mais depuis quelques jours , j'ai pu enfin l'utiliser . Ce parapluie surprend par sa robustesse . Déjà , la poignée ergonomique fait qu'on le tient bien en main , le toucher de la poignée est agréable et pas froid . le bouton pour le déplier n'est pas dur à actionner , il se déplie facilement et offre une bonne surface de protection . La toile est de bonne qualité et les baleines paraissent bien solides en cas de vent . Les finitions sont de bonne facture . Le tout est très élégant , que ce soit pour un homme ou une femme . Le week end s'annonce pluvieux , mais je sais au moins que je serai bien à l'abri sous ce parapluie .
