It says 'for men' are you sure?

It's a unisex fragrance, like all Hermes' 'Jardins' fragrances. Like a lighter, more floral, fruity version of Terre d' Hermes, but it still has the woody, peppery base notes, so not really traditionally 'feminine' or 'masculine'. From an article in The New Yorker about its creation: ""This works perfectly for Hermès,” Gautier concluded. She did have one concern: would men be able to wear it? Both she and Ellena wanted Hermès to dispense with the archaic division between masculine and feminine scents—a mere marketing device designed to make heterosexual men comfortable with the idea of wearing fragrance. Though Gautier was, wisely, cautious of being too radical for the market, she nevertheless had decided that the Jardins collection would be unisex." is this authentic? and how do i make sure?

There are websites to check fragrances and theit batch codes. Just enter the batch code of the fragrance(written under the box) to the website and you will have some results. Also the packaging is better for authentic fragrances and the one I received have no such problems. Fake fragrances don't smell the same and don't last long.

Der Duft ist betörend, blumig und leicht salzig-aquatisch, was ihm eine einzigartige Tiefe verleiht. Man riecht förmlich die feuchte, leicht maritime Luft und die üppigen weißen Blüten, die hinter hohen Mauern in einem geheimen Garten blühen. Die Hauptnoten von Magnolie und Pittosporum sind perfekt ausbalanciert. Die Haltbarkeit des EdT ist für einen "Jardin"-Duft überraschend gut. Er ist elegant, unaufdringlich und perfekt für das Frühjahr und den Sommer. Ein Duft, der sofort gute Laune macht und Komplimente garantiert. Fazit: Wer einen einzigartigen, poetischen und wunderschön komponierten Duft sucht, der Geschichten erzählt, muss dieses Parfüm probieren. Ein luxuriöser Genuss.
