Quality Street Appeal?
To start with, I like Tongmaster. They are a no fuss company. Their dispatch & delivery is spot on. Its like they are down your road from you.They show the products & the picture's. You decide what you fancy, maybe read the reviews & order. The products normally are spot on. Chinese, Indian, Thai, American, actually half the World. Sprinkle the powder on meat, fish & veg, cook and Hey! I like that.However. Tongmasters flavouring products aren't a hit with everyone. I guess, like a tin of Quality Street, there are ones the get "Nul points!"I thought the same when I first bought this product. I agree with other reviews, its rather bland. But,as with all cooking, you sometimes have to add a bit?So to this mixture? Notice the word Southern? Remove that word & you have KFC!!!! Trouble is that this powder mix, although good is missing that Quality Street Appeal? It needs a bit more.So, a quick delve on the web reveals the proper KFC is not That hard to replicate. Here goes below, try it & see;40g Tongmaster attached mix. To this add all the following in 1x tsp amounts, salt, GROUND black pepper, garlic granules, thyme, mustard powder,basil,oregano, ginger. Then 4x tsp of paprika. Try.I wish Tongmaster offered a Quality Street Tin style of their products.15 pouches of their best sellers?? Now that's food for thought??

The delivery and service from this company has been great I have made several purchases from them and have always been impressed with the service. So the rating I am awarding is form this product and has no reflection on the service levels from this company .The mix was OK , it look authentic and when cooked it definitely looked like Kentucky fried chicken.However I did not feel that the taste was as authentic as I had hoped for. Maybe my expectations was too high , lets face it...KFC have kept their secret ingredients for many decades, and so it was never going to completely replicate that taste we all love.So overall I give this 3 stars , it was not offensive and many customers may love it , for me, though it was not as good as I had hoped for.This is a great company and everything I have tried in the past has been great, so don't let me influence you trying this mix. If you are looking for something really authentic from this company try the steak pie seasoning and thickener...its amazing!!!

I really like this coating
I really like this coating. It makes a boring chicken wrap a little bit tastier at lunch time. My husband finds it a bit salty so if you don't like salt I would try it but not be too upset of you don't like it.

Gorgeous but
If this gets read by the makers, I'd like to see ingredients since I'm vegan and get put off buying more in case it has animal products.It's the same with all tongmaster products.
