Looks great for the price. 👍
The media could not be loaded. I look around for a while before deciding on the Dimplex Brayford electric log burner.Looks great and probably the most realistic flame in the range.I also bought the pipe to finish it off.Heats well, and the thermostat works well too.The heater is a little noisy but not too bad as to be a nuisance.

Excellent purchase.
Bought to replace a living flame gas fire which could no longer be used. Had seen in showroom and thought it looked okay, but once installed in our fireplace we thought it looked better than okay. Flame and logs are reasonably realistic. It was very easy to install and not too heavy. We don't often need extra heating and bought it mainly as a safe alternative to the gas fire, and for the flame effect in winter. We don't notice any noise with just the flame on. We don't use the remote control, but you could if you wished. It would heat up the room quickly when the fire is switched on. As others say, it does hum a bit, because basically it is a sort of fan heater. Don't think you would notice it too much if you had the TV on. As others say, having just the flame on somehow makes you feel warmer, without any actual heat. Seller was excellent.

Looks great
I bought it mainly for the warm cozy glow and it doesn’t disappoint, it looks really quite realistic. The humming is a little disappointing but as it is a convection heater it is to be expected. Overall really pleased.

Attractive faux flame
The media could not be loaded. This is our 2nd Brayford electric stove, we bought the same model again as we like it so much. It neat, attractive and quite realistic, and makes the room very cosy. We don’t use the heat very often - the convector is a bit noisy but the heat even on low is very effective. My family (who actually have a real log burner) think it’s lovely , and it’s a great alternative focal point instead of the tv. The price varies so much but Amazon we’re by far the cheapest, and having already had a Brayford I had no qualms about going for the cheapest price. It belies the quality actually. All round great buy.

Good quality-nice display
Definitely well built for the price. Good quality fire display and very quiet fan for the heating. Remote is a nice feature to have as well

Absolutely perfect!
What an amazing fire! After lots of research and returning a cheaper fire which was absolutely pants I have finally got what I wanted! Excellent quality, perfect size, remote control, silent when using just the flame lights, great heat, and the most lifelike logs and flame effect I could ever have hoped for. Totally worth every penny.

Hot or cold and nothing in between
I selected this due to the brand, rather than replacing an old one which was a non-branded item but had served me well for several years. This one looked good and the flames are effective but so many negatives. The remote is ON/Off so you can't turn the temperature up or down or high/low fan, so extremely limited. All the controls are on the side but not ever together. The main on/off and 2 fan switches are at the bottom, tucked behind the leg so you can't see them easily without getting on your hands and knees. OK I suppose when you know where they are and you can just reach your hand round and operate by feel. The on/off itself is a rocker switch but does not stay in the ON position. You sort of rock the switch which works for both on and off. Very odd switch but it means that by looking at it, you genuinely wouldn't know if the heater was switched on or not. Not a system that I have seen on other heaters in the UK and unsure how this complies with safety legislation. Awaiting a response from our usual electrician on this. The temperature dial is at the top of the heater on the same side, but believe me, try as I might, I can only get this to work on hot/constant or it clicks off no matter where you set the dial. I keep trying it to go up one tiny click at a time and leaving it at that, trying to find a happy compromise point where the room can be just warm but absolutely no use. It either stays on on hot and makes the room ridiculously stuffy or it cuts out too quickly and the room is cold. For a price of £220, I was hoping for a well-designed heater which would work much better. Considering sending it back as I'm really not happy. The £50ish other make was much better than this. Can't recommend. Poor design. Poor operation. Poor heating. Very expensive for what it is.
