Combination Saw
I purchased this saw as I have very little room in the garage for separate machines and it hasn't had much use yet, however I am pleased with the purchase as it fits nicely on the workbench and doesn't take up too much space. Having tried it out, it cuts nice and straight and accurate with the mitre and the table saw is easy to use with smallish planks although it doesn't appear to allow you to do a rabbet cut due to the safeguards unless I haven't figured it out correctly. Anyway it does what it suppose to do, and I am pleased. I did need to adjust the laser. There are a couple of excellent videos on YouTube that help you identify how to prepare for mitre or table saw cutting.

Decent, well-built tool. Useful if your jobs fit within its limitations.
Overall this is a decent quality tool - much as you would expect from Bosch Professional - but it has its limitations. The mitre saw is very good, has a decent capacity for a non-sliding machine, and can be adjusted to be accurate and repeatable for single or double bevel cuts. The blade is pretty good. The table saw is OK for simple DIY, and small-ish ripping jobs where absolute accuracy isn't paramount. With a bit of adjustment, and care in use, the fence can be set up to lock parallel with the blade (there are some grub screws to adjust the angle and take out slack on the track, but they are a real pain to set).Just don't expect the table saw to be a great small saw for any kind of fine woodworking. The table area is a multi-part affair that isn't perfectly flat. The blade guard, while removable, is attached to a riving knife that sticks up above blade height, so you can't make any kind of grooving cut. Removing or replacing the knife would require significant disassembly of the saw. The guard is reasonably narrow though, so it doesn't get in the way when making thinner rips. Useful to ensure you keep it attached as much as possible. While I made a useful small cross-sled, doing that required a custom runner as the top has a single non-standard mitre slot.Perhaps the biggest downside for a home DIYer is that the dust collection is pretty much non-existent. Mitre saws are generally pretty terrible for dust collection, but due to the limitations imposed by having the ability to convert from mitre to table, it's like trying to serve soup in a colander. Even with a shop vac, or a powerful Camvac extractor hooked up, dust is thrown into the air in almost every direction, and piles of dust accumulate all around the base. You're really not going to want to use it in a shop/garage unless you want to clean the whole place after every cut.

A well designed and versatile tool and well worth the money.
I purchased this after having tried the Makita equivalent and researching all options on the internet.I wanted a portable 'two in one machine' when I am working outside of my workshop,It fits nicely in to my car boot. .The Bosch in the flesh looks as if it costs much much more which is surprising as it cost only £12 more than the Makita. If you're considering which one to buy I can wholeheartedly recommend the Bosch for the following reasons;Greater cutting capacity, 305 mm blade as opposed to the 260mm of the Makita. It has a soft start and a very effective motor brake,The Makita really does 'slam'on start up.The fence locks front and rear on the Bosch,it is rock solid and substantial unlike the flimsy fence on the Makita which tilts upwards at the outfeed end when it is tightened up.It has an accurate lazer and a led work light, Makita has removed the light from the latest version that I had.Overall build quality of the bosch in my opinion is superior the Makita with much more thought put into it for the user.........................................................................................................................................................It really looks as if it will 'do the job' and last well for the Professional or woodworking enthusiast.

Decent chop saw, useless table saw.
Nice idea but in practice it's an expensive mistake. Nothing wrong with the mechanics but you are better off with separate units. If you are tight for space get a sliding mitre saw and have your sheet goods cut at the DIY store.
