Draper 34277 Non Contact Voltage Tester

Very easy to use at a very reasonable price. Very accurate readings so far. A good buy.

Does what it says "on the tin". Satisfied.

Excellent product ideal for checking live cables.

Not the most accurate tool, lights up in the presence of current which is great but seems overly sensative making it difficult to detect issues as it can sense and light a fair distance from your intended target a few inches in some cases so not ideal for my use on socket wires. Even lights up if left by a TV flatscreen in standby. Not really worth a buy with hindsight

This is brilliant. Get near any socket, switch or electrical device and it lights up to tell you it’s live. Perfect for checking extension cables, outlets and equipment.

Pop the batteries in and away you go, pretty sensitive at detecting power. Great product for a low price.

Put batteries in and the red light was really dim and only detected power when right on the light switch (for example). Didn't pick anything up in the walls and the wires are only under a thin layer of plaster and plastic trunking. Bought a more expensive one that does the job I needed it for...although it seems to be finding wires in places where there aren't any reasons for there to be wires. I won't be drilling anywhere near it anyway.

Was disappointed that there isn't a on/off switch. Meaning you have to remove the batteries to stop them down when not in use. Will more than likely pass it on to someone who doesn't mind no switch.

Decepcion total de la marca.buscaba con baja sensibilidad para detectar cables y enchufes con corriente en la polaridad de fase y sin el clasico pitido molesto. En vez de usar el clasico buscapolos. Se eligio por marca, diseño y precio. Por funcionalidad no cumple y no es fiable por ser demasiado inductivo

Das Ding fängt ca 20cm vor dem Kabel schon an zu blinken. Wenn also mehrere Kabel nebeneinander verlaufen ist das Ding vollkommen für die Katz.

Den reagerar på närvaro av spänning . Men är alldeles för känslig och reagerar på för långt avstånd .I en elcentral sitter proppar relativt nära varandra men man kan alltså inte lokalisera om en speciell proppär sönder . Den reagerar redan på kanske typ 30cm från proppskåpet . Den läser av alla proppar samtidigt .Helt fel konstruerad och oanvändbar för felsökning den är tänkt för . En testpenna får inte reageraförrän ca 3-4cm ifrån sökpunkten . Så bortkastad slant !
