CL Distribution 6 Sided Super Alloy Fire Starter Striker

Works well
I have found that the striker you use does make a difference to the performance of the ferro rod. So I got this and I am now satisfied with the sparking quality I get from my ferro rod. If you spend a fair bit to get a decent ferro rod and it has not got a striker or the striker is rubbish you may as well get a decent striker. This striker needed a quick clean when it came, which is the only reason for deducting a star, after a quick wipe it comes up shinny.

Not bad, but could do with a sharper edge.
A bit on the pricey side for a piece of carbon steel in a pressed plastic handle, but then it does include postage and packaging which was next day.The striker itself is slightly bevelled on each corner which doesn't make the best striking surface, but some attention with a fine file and a diamond abrasive put a good edge on it, and it seems to do the job much better.

Very effective
These a great much better than strikers that are supplied with most ferro rods. Costly but worth it in the end

Tool for the job
It works, and if tied to your fire ferrosteel, saves getting out your "survival" knife which may have a rounded back and be unsuitable.

Worth it!
Didn't expect much but once sharpend to my standard it was highly effective. Price is a bit steep for a peice of metal and plastic but its better then putting pits in the back of my knife.

Excellent.
Simply the best striker for use with fero rods that I've ever had. It seems like most fero rods come with cheap strikers that don't do the job. These do. Yes it seems expensive for a simple striker, but it's definitely worth it in my view.

Smaller than you'd expect, but effective with a ferrocerrium rod.
Does what it should all right.

Premier striker
Most ferro rods are sold with frankly less than useless hacksaw style strikers, having a high carbon, hardened steel one makes using a rod so much easier
