I've been building custom PC rigs or upgrading stock PC's/laptops for myself, family, & friends for 25+ years as a DIY enthusiast. I usually purchase from Crucial directly but in this instance this RAM kit was a fair chunk cheaper on Amazon. When it comes to (SODIMM) RAM for laptops or mini PC's you really can't go far wrong with Crucial. I always shortlist their kits for comparison on performance, specs & cost with other top manufacturers. Frequently, you really have to do your homework to ensure you're choosing compatible RAM for your hardware or suffer the consequences & expense. Because Crucial have directly retailed their RAM for many years, their website has also had a built in "Advisor Tool" (compatibility checker) for years too. Literally ANYONE can easily find exactly what they need without needing to be an IT professional, DIY enthusiast, or spend endless hours researching their hardware to ensure they're choosing the right kit. (Crucial carry out extensive compatibility checks to save you the trouble). Additionally, I've only needed to return one RAM kit to Crucial out of multiple purchases over the years & I had the replacement within a couple of days. Their customer services are certainly well above par. Otherwise, I've never had a failure from their kit & some of it is still in use having been passed down, etc. I purchased this particular kit to upgrade a new Minix N42C-4 Mini PC/HTPC. It's absolutely ideal for the purpose & it gives me 4x the stock RAM (a considerable boost). My mini PC is coping with everything I'm asking of such a small system & more. As always, this Crucial kit is performing precisely as advertised. I'm very happy with it. Competitive prices & lifetime warranties backed up by their superb customer services make Crucial hard to beat. Depending on your requirements, this is a great kit that can completely transform an older laptop or mini PC, etc. Supplied in no fuss plastic packaging. Would always happily recommend Crucial. 5/5.

Typical good quality you'd expect from Crucial with the correct rated speed detected in bios. Works well with the device chosen despite not being listed for compatibility. Great value at this price. Used this to upgrade a passive ITX machine but is certainly suitable for laptop upgrade too.

Memory works, no issues. But order took about 6 weeks to arrive from USA to UK. Ordered November 14 arrived December 31

I have an old Dell Vostro 3558 which was given to me from my workplace and due to the specs it was showing its age so i needed a quick and cheap way to upgrade my ram. Surprisingly, for its age, this laptop supports up to 16GB ram which is unheard of in a laptop of this age. i tried ram brand called qumox but, despite it being the same spec as the preinstalled memory, it was not compatible with my laptop. i had to return that one then, after researching further i found the exact spec and model of the preinstalled ram. Because, the ram is DDR3, it is really hard to find these days now with the market being dominated with DDR4 and the up and coming DDR5 memory spec. I took the plunge after doing a thorough research and found out that Crucial was the perfect upgrade. Even though this ram spec is hard to find in today's market, i managed to find it, even though it is coming from Amazon EU. After fitting the ram, it perfectly, detected the ram without too much trouble. The laptop had to restart a few times, so it can detect the new ram, and after a restart the laptop detected the ram as 16GB it was the perfect and cheap upgrade to an aging laptop. I am perfectly, happy with Crucial's quality and it worked like a dream. My laptop runs much faster now thanks to this upgrade. Will buy from Crucial again in the future. Some advice to future buyers, if you are looking to upgrade your laptop's memory make sure you buy the exact same spec as your existing memory otherwise, you will have incompatibilities with your laptop. so always make sure you buy the right ram and make sure it is the same as the one your laptop shipped with. also it is worth looking at the laptop's spec like your operating user manual or the laptop's official website as there will be plenty of documentation to help you, to make sure your ram is upgradeable.

I wanted to upgrade my old HP laptop from 8GB (2x4) to 16Gb (2x8) of ram. I let the Crucial website scan the hardware on my laptop to recommend the upgrade … it came up with this product. The speed of this ram was higher than the ones in the laptop, but my research confirmed that it was ok as long as I do not mix rams with different speeds. The 16Gb (2x8) arrived on time on the date specified when I placed the order. The packaging could have been better. It was placed in a letter size cardboard envelop, which in my opinion did not provide any protection from say heavier packages falling on top of it. It really needs to be wrapped in a thin layer of bubble wrap. The other thing I noticed that the picture on the website does not quite match the item received. The picture showed a single-rank module but what I got was a dual-rank module. I only make a point of this because, again, my research indicated that single-rank modules tend to be faster as the processes will go through the ram in one single swop instead of two as with the dual-rank. However the actual text on the product description did indeed say that it was a dual-rank module. I had no problems installing the new ram on my laptop and it identified them correctly. However on its first boot up it took longer than normal … I guess it was sorting out the new ram?! As far as improving the speed of my laptop, time will tell as I keep using the laptop for different situations that I use it normally. I gave this product 4* because of the incorrect picture and packaging in arrived in.

Purchased in order to upgrade the RAM on my 3 year old Sony Vaio laptop, which was used for my Computer Science course at university. Initially I was skeptical on purchasing the 16GB kit, on further research this was the maximum memory that could be purchased for my laptop, so do check that beforehand. Use the Crucial System Scanner Tool (website) to check this out. After reading numerous reputable sources, I was left with the impression that memory should be purchased in pairs (as was the case here) what this means is, the memory that is currently installed on your laptop may be wasted, in my case 4GB of RAM. You can mix and match RAM brands, but its not advisable, there are the chancers in life that will disagree here. Most of you will be wondering, how it performs in terms of everyday applications. In other words is it worth upgrading from 4GB DDR3 to 16GB DDR3, in its simplest form I would say yes,certainly. YouTube loads much faster in terms of viewing HD 1080P content, I can have my banking tabs open, Skype and Microsoft Word all without any delays/lags. Previously with 4GB of RAM, there would be delays and my laptop would often struggle. For little over £100 its much cheaper than purchasing a new laptop, a good buy in my eyes. I decided to go for the Crucial RAM to upgrade my laptop after having an SSD from them for more than a year. As with the SSD, the installation was very quick and simple (you can find details on how to do it on YouTube for literally any laptop make, all you need is a screwdriver). There was no compatibility issue with the motherboard or CPU, as I have previously used the Crucial memory selector tool from their website to make sure I purchased the right RAM for my laptop. One thing to notice, RAM will not make you PC faster (provided you have more than 8GB to start with), but it will allow more multitasking i.e. have more apps open at once or run RAM hungry programs like Photoshop or MATLAB. The Crucial has become my favourite low cost brand for upgrading my laptop memory.

Bought the RAM chips for Lenovo Thinkpad X230, Yes I could have got CAS 9 RAM chips I've also used which were 1.5 volt for slightly better performance, these are slower CAS 11, but thought having RAM chips that would also run at 1.35 volts in case I get a device running either a 4th or 5th gen i-Core laptop processor would be more useful than having an extra 1-2% additional performance. 16GB means I have a 1Gb RAM drive - to speed up web browsing, and to point a small swapfile (256MB) to it. Very useful for using virtual machines having the additional RAM. Can't fault the price, although it has since gone up slightly. Very reliable RAM - RAM chips labelled as 1.35 volt DDR3L but clearly can run at 1.5 volts and have for the combined total of a number of days now. CPU-ID indicates this RAM chip can run at both voltages.

Produto original, novo, chegou em perfeito estado, demorou um pouco, achei que não chegaria, mas valeu a espera, foi apenas instalar e reconheceu os dois pentes. Na primeira instalação pode demorar um pouco para a placa reconhecer, importante aguardar um pouco, pode ser 5 minutos até, antes de achar que não deu certo. Depois funciona normalmente.

Uyumlu bellek bulmak oldukça zor. Bu bellekler ile uyum sorunu yaşamadım.Eski bilgisayarımı oldukça hızlandırdı. Sanal bilgisayar çalıştırmada hiç sıkıntı yaşamadım.
