I bought one of these mounts at the same time as a suspension trainer but have only recently installed it. I was able to use the suspension trainer straight away by attaching it between a door and it's frame. This worked OK for a while but you are limited to the type of exercise you can do and there is always the concern that you may be doing some damage to your door. I have now fitted the X mount above the archway between my lounge and dining room and I can now use the suspension trainer as it was intended. The X mount is a really well made piece of kit and so long as you fit it to a solid wall it will not let you down. To give you piece of mind I would suggest you proof test the installation, I did this by hanging from the suspension trainer with my wife on my back. Nothing gave way but I won't be trying that again! The finish of the X mount is great and will never rust so I have ordered another on to fit outside on a fairly rugged pergola so that I can do my routines in the fresh air this summer.

The mount itself is excellent quality so would recommend. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the fixings supplied were not great. I wasn't fixing to wood but through a wall. The fixings supplied seemed far too over engineered for the job and so I had to go purchase some raw plugs. Simple and the bracket is up.

Really solid construction and a good quality painted finish. I particularly like the inclusion of two different types of installation hardware for attaching to wood or to a brick wall. I have this X mount attached to a ceiling joist in my spare room and so far have used it both to hang a 65Kg heavy punch bag and for securing a suspension trainer. The mount feels very solid once srewed into place, allowing me to hang/swing from my suspension trainer with complete confidence. I also tested the security of the fitting by getting my partner (who weighs 96Kg) to swing from the 65Kg punch bag and the thing didn't budge. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to get a more versatile workout from their suspension trainer without resorting to hanging it from the branch of a tree.

Good quality item at a reasonable price. Works best if a 12 drill bit is used on a brick wall. I have not used the wooden screws, but they look sturdy too.

Coach bolts included for fixing to timber but no rawl plugs included for fixing into brickwork. Bolts are thick and therefore huge plugs required and a very thick drill bit.

Too small for Battle rope to go through and Comes with different types of fittings but no instructions on how to fix them.

Really easy to install. Screwed it into a brick wall in Garage and rock solid..
