Best for the price.
I have had mine for 18 months now with no problems whatsoever. I have used it on/off road fairly extensively, and even on muddy bridal paths proved to be be tough and rugged. ISince I am in my 60`s, I have changed the handlebars to give a more upright position, and the saddle for a wider one, and can honestly say its the most comfortable bike I have ever owned, (and I use 2/3 times a week or more).I have taken it on holiday in the car and if you remove the handlebars and saddle and bungee them to the sides of the frame it folds up very small. The only criticism is the weight, Its very heavy (especially if you put mudguards, racks, panniers, lights etc on, as I have)-.but I figure thats a minor point as is the smelly tyres, which disappears after a couple of months. All in all an excellent bike, which will fit anyone between 5-6 feet tall easily, is easy to maintain, has good brakes, suspension and gearing, and is easy to store. You wont be disappointed (unless you want a lightweight model!)Update. - OVER 2 YEARS RIDING AND NO PROBLEMS. BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT I HAVE MADE IS TO CHANGE THE TYRES FOR SLICKS. THIS HAS ENABLED ME TO DROP 2 GEARS AND INCREASE MY MAX SPEED BY 7 MPH AS WELL AS LESSEN THE EFFORT CONSIDERABLY. IF YOU DONT DO MUCH OFF ROADING ITS WORTHWHILE SPENDING AROUND £30 FOR A COUPLE OF SMOOTH TYRES, AND SAVE THE KNOBBLY ONES FOR WINTER/OFF ROAD RIDING.

like the bike very much
like the bike very much, but should specify that it slightly too small for an adult ( 1.70cm tall)had it now for 2 months, but starting to creak a bit, and the gears difficult to control plus the chain falls off at times.for the price its fine, but not sure if I would buy again.wanted it for folding away, which it does. it is vey heavy though and also weight heavy to cycle.instructions were good, and I assembled it, no problems.

Full of surprises - and all on the upside.
The bike shop I went to for advice almost persuaded me the minimum I needed to spend on a bike was £500 for a hard-tail 'starter MTB' - I wasn't convinced that I wouldn't simply have it instantly nicked and so I took the cheapskate option - this Stowabike. I reckoned that if I didn't like cycling £135 wasn't too much to lose and if I did like cycling I could buy a better bike and keep this one for travelling, since it folds up.Well it's amazing value for money. It arrived early, took less time than advertised to assemble (about 20 minutes to unpack and stick the various bits on) is far sturdier than I thought it would be and rides better than I expected. It's a bit heavier than alloy and non-folding bikes but I bought it to keep fit not break speed records so who cares? It's rigid on the road and supple on the bumps thanks to the effective suspension and adjusts easily to meet my size (I am 6' & 95 kg). I don't know how long it will last but the product seems very well made with details like the welding and paintwork appearing of high enough quality to last at least a year or two. Rear brake is feeble but front brake OK and it stops in the wet which many bikes don't.

One of my better decisions
I was looking for a folding bike to use for about 20-30 days a year, primarily in France. My bike rack doesn't fit my new car well and creates visibility problems, so I started to look for a foldable. Unfortunately, they all seemed to be expensive and ugly and some of the reviews were none too encouraging. Then I saw this one. I had some reservations that the low price would mean low quality, but not a bit of it. The bike took about 45 minutes to build from the box, with no adjustment needed on either the gears or the brakes. The instructions seem to be for another bike entirely - but what the hell? If you can't do basic bike maintenance, you shouldn't be riding... The hinge works on a quick release lever and the mechanism slides up like a gate bolt, when it's properly in place the bike is absolutely rigid. Personally I don't like dual suspension or twist grip gears, but the rear shocker is easily adjusted to make it really firm and the twist grips are as positive as any I've tried. I got the riding position worked out in a couple of miles on the road, then took it through a wood, round a lake and along a towpath - it was great, and the brakes grip like a vice also has an anatomically profiled seat, which I didn't expect. Bad points? Don't think the pedals are going to last long, they're a little rough and even though this is a moot point, the tyres smell really bad and I wouldn't want to go too far off-road on them and er, that's it. A word too about The Sports HQ who sell this bike - it was dispatched a little quicker than I'd expected and my change of delivery intructions was acknowledged immediately and courteously. Even with standard delivery, the bike was delivered on a Saturday morning, having been ordered online very late on Thursday night - absolutely astonishing service. To sum up, you're not getting a Cannondale here, you're getting a well built, practical solution to a specific need at a great price. Buy with confidence and enjoy!UPDATE - After nearly six years of almost daily use, I'm retiring my bike to France where it'll just be used four or five times a year. It survived being run over by a van when it was parked and being shunted ten feet up a footpath when a bin lorry backed into it. It's covered thousands of miles in several countries, using three sets of tyres on the way, three saddles, three lots of brake blocks and finally a bottom bearing. The only improvement I would have made is for them to have used folding pedals for ease of packing away. One of my best buys ever. Now what am I going to replace it with? I'll give you three guesses...
