Silverline Expert Filling Knife 75mm (589702)

Thankfully I'd read other folks reviews before making my purchase. I therefore did choose to buy it to use as a scrapping tool rather than filling tool. I have to concur with others, it's far too rigid to be of any use as a filling knife - there's almost zero flex. It would be hopeless for the advertised purpose. It will, however, do a very fine job for all sorts of scrapping tasks. It's comfortable to hold, and appears robust enough to last for years for such tasks. So overall pleased with my purchase, but not really for the right reasons. If you want a good flexible filling knife, than I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

Great tool. Works great with filler and has been really good in levelling out filler to allow minimum sanding. It is so easy to use that I would look for more filling to do as it was enjoyable!Do not forget to clean and importantly dry after cleaning. I have forgotten to day and this has allowed some rust to appear which can easily be cleaned off but just a cosmetic thing.

I used this for pretty much my first ever DIY job - filling a hole with some Polyfilla. It's got a good grip and a decent sized spreading edge. The tip is sharp enough to get a clean finish and if you have any dry filler on there you can just wash it off under the hot tap.

Not the greatest quality steel but good enough for those odd jobs, if I was using as a pro would pay more for better, but this is good enough for little money.

It’s a good quality tool but it didn’t serve the purpose as in the title of the product.It’s far toooo rigid to be used as a filling knife. I would suggest the seller to adjust the product title.

I’ve rated this item before, so don’t know why you’re asking me to review again. Anyway this was suitable for what I needed.

Is sturdy and just as described but a bit to stiff for filling. Works better as a scraper. But is very cheap so worth it

Handle has a 'grip' but the tool still slipped in my hand. Having said that it did the job adequately.
