It is great for the purpose it was created for.
People complain about this saw, but it has a specific purpose and it works well for that purpose. This saw has an aggressive cut for the teeth. This can be tricky getting a groove initially because the teeth will catch on harder wood until a that groove is established. On softer wood, it tears through quickly and straight. For those complaining about the blade bending, I am curious how they are using it. Improper use or expecting it to act like a full sized saw will disappoint the user. I am very pleased with the way it works and recommend it to anyone with common sense to use it properly.

Great product for small jobs.
While I can't say I didn't pretend this was a switchblade, and kept awkwardly pulling it out of my back pocket to suggest others use it - i can say this is super light weight. Easy to use. Not easy to unsheath (which is good, its a really serious blade).Great for medium sized branches. Bushes, small tree limbs.Very easy to transport while moving around your yard. It really did rest well in my back pocket when not in use.

Excellant price-point.
Good addition to my camping gear, Just the right size for my trucks door pockets. Quicker then a 'bow-saw' or a chain saw for those small tasks. Between this and a hatchet, for small trail clearing or for a campfire, this will do the job.It seems substantial enough. The blade lock mechanism is tight, but easily released. I checked the pivot bolt and only managed to tighten it 1/16-1/8 inch at most. Because it will not be used every day, i prefer this folding compact style over the 'fixed-blade' type with a sheath. Another aspect, is the saw has 3 lock points...1 when fully closed, 1 when fully open and extended, and the 3 when it is 1/2 way open/closing. This is a nice redundant feature to keep it cutting your hand******The price point was excellent, and if it only lasts a couple of years, it will have been a good purchase. When researching different brand hand saws, many reviews commented on either brittle, flimsy, or quick dulling with use. This FLORA GUARD product did not seem to suffer those problems. I expect it to dull with age and use, so not a problem.

Sawed though a dead 2.5" oak limb in a few seconds
I have used this once and do not intend to use it a lot. Tested in sawing a 2.5" oak limb that has been aging for about a year, and it took maybe 8 seconds. I expect this little saw will be good if needed. Only issue, and this may be for safety, is that the the "engage" button needs to be depressed twice to retract the blade. The first push is to get closed most of the way and the second is to completely close it

Good hand saw
Bought this to have an extra hand saw to have around the home. TheFLORA GUARD Folding Hand Saw is sharp and cuts really well. So far I've used it to trim branches & cut some roots for irrigation repairs. It is cheap enough that I can leave it in my irrigation carry all so I always have it available to cut some roots.

Easy and Safe to use
I bought this to use on driftwood that I incorporate into my fiber art. This doesn't saw/cut dried wood as well as I would like. I cut off a very small knob of wood and it took quite a lot of energy and effort. I think I can use it in some projects but I will need to find something stronger to cut through thicker pieces of driftwood. Perhaps it works best on greener wood.Nice packaging.Comfortable size.

I HATE ADVERTISERS WHO LIE !!
I get particularly irked when advertisers lie !!2 lies here.First lie: they advertise blade length as 7.7 inches. IN FACT, The cutting edge of the blade is 6.5 inches !!Second lie: they claim that the blade locks into two different cutting positions. My attached picture shows the blade locked in the first supposed cutting position. It's a mere 30°, and almost totally unusable !!Apart from these two lies, the saw still cuts very well, and I would have given it four or five stars if they hadn't lied !!

So bizarre, but you need this!!!!
This is one of my most bizarre amazon puchases considering I live in a tiny NYC apartment and don't really woodwork. However, I had a bookshelf shelf I needed to trim an inch off of and my bread knife wasn't cutting it (no pun intended). This saw is AMAZING. So easy to use. The folding in half thing? Genius! Perfect size!I think it's perfect for someone who just needs some basic tools for basic use!

Better than expected, excellent value
I got this for an ill conceived winter camping trip. All of us have cheap pocket knives that have saw blades but they always seemed pathetic at the best of times. During a late December trip I didn't want to take chances and got the cheapest folding saw on Amazon. My expectation wasn't much but I was very surprised how well this cut. It made quick work of wrist thick branches and helped us gather a ton of fire wood. All of us were impressed with it's quality and capability. I have no doubt this could handle larger pieces and now it's an essential part of future trips.

Excellent portable saw.
A great saw. Safely folds up to safely transport, locking into place both when folded and open. Nicely oiled and sharp enough to cut through a medium sized branch. Arrived the next day in perfect condition.

Quickly saws through a small branch.
Husband's eyes lit up and he was setting up the ladder, and soon, energetically sawing through the small branches not needed on our eucalyptus. He was delighted. One way to get a job done, girls, buy him a new tool(toy)

Gets the job done
Rather than share a picture of the knife itself, I decided to share a picture of what I actually used it for:to trim some pretty thick branches of a pine tree. Easily cut a 8cm branch in a couple of minutes. Knife is extremely sharp so handle with care! Good value for money
