Q: Is this liner made out of silicone?

No, the liner is actually made from a woven glass fabric which is coated with PTFE. All Bake-O-Glide™ PTFE products are manufactured from PFOA free dispersions. And conform to Plastic Materials and Articles in Contact with Food Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and hence Article 3 of European Regulation No 1935/2004: following Methods BSEN 1186:2002.

Q: Could this be used on an oval shaped crockpot to help get cakes out of the high sides of the crockpot without it ruffling up the shape of the cake mix

Possibly, but as it is quite thick, you may struggle to get it to fit the shape smoothly. (Especially if, like mine, the crockpot has sides that angle out as they go up.) If you can get the fit, the non-stick would work a treat.

No, it's certainly not too thick - I think it's ideal for jobs like that.

No, I don't think it would work for this. The sheets work well as non-stick liners for tins and trays because the sheets are quite thick. Folding and wrapping wouldn't work very well and would damage the sheet. I think that greaseproof paper would be better for making parcels for baking fish (and try that with couscous and fresh herbs - delicious!).
