How well will this work with a core drill? Need to put a 38mm hole through an internal block wall. If you don't know, you don't need to answer.

38mm wont be a problem. Used mine with a 72mm core drill through a block wall. just make sure you use a good quality core bit.

what's the difference between SDS and SDS Plus?

SDS plus is now the most common on the market and is an improvement on the original SDS. SDS plus still works on the older style SDS fitting.

Yes it is, this was the reason I purchased the drill. I drilled a 16mm hole with the drill through the wall. Ensure you get long reach drills.

I am assuming you mean you cannot fit the drill bits you purchased into this SDS Drill? Thie Bosch drill only takes SDS DRILL BITS. Look on Amazon for BOSCH SDS DRILL BITS. It will take you to a page where you can scroll through and select which Bosch SDS drill bit or set of drill bits you need. There is also a BOSCH SDS-PLUS ADAPTER WITH DRILL CHUCK. It just depends on what type of job you need the drill bit to perform - for example: brick, concrete, stone, and so on. If you need advice, give Bosch a call on 0344 892 8979 for the UK.
