This is a good shabbos lamp. Aside from it's advantages for Shabbat observers, the lamp itself is pretty good. Its narrow shape makes for a great space saver, and depending on the bulb used, the lamp illuminates a small area very nicely. There's only space for a single bulb, standard E26 screw in size. The lamp comes with a bulb. (You need to screw it in yourself. Check inside the lamp for it.) The bulb it comes with is tall and narrow, but I was able to fit a standard round bulb inside. This lamp is a bit lighter than a different brand shabbos lamp I have. The additional weight helps keep the lamp from falling over if someone bumps into it. Both are made of some very thin aluminum that feels more like plastic. The lamp is simple to put together, and turns easily. The idea of a shabbos lamp is that one can leave the light on overnight, but turn the cover so that only part or none of the light shows through. The level can be adjusted according to one's preference.

The lamp works well as it's supposed to, and it's great that it already comes with a light bulb, making it very simple and easy to use. I like the modern smooth look it has

The lamp gives me plenty of time to read and it I'm not too dozy, I turn it far enough so that it completely blocks out its own light. It is marvellously useful.
