AF Isoclene - Lab grade Isopropyl Alcohol Spray / 99.7% Pure Isopropanol IPA ...

AF Isoclene is an excellent degreaser and cleaner, good pure isopropyl alcohol, and uncontaminated by the unnecessary biocidal preservatives often found in patent lens-wipes. I've used isopropyl alcohol for cleaning stuff for decades, mostly lenses, tape heads, CD/DVD players etc, anywhere a thin film of grease or contaminant can upset operation. It is also useful for quickly removing spilt brake fluid. It dries quickly and leaves no residue of its own, but if the rinsing and wiping was inadequate there might still remain some of the substance that should have been removed. I prefer the pump-action container because it allows a better control of how much is used, and there is no contamination from CFCs in the spray. While safer than ethanol or methanol it is still poisonous and should not be drunk! It is best used in a well ventilated area, especially if anything more than a quick squirt.

Isopropanol is brilliant; I used to use it regularly at work before retirement, now needing to procure my own supply. Bought mainly for cleaning up second hand CDs/DVDs purchased from car boot sales. These are frequently covered with sticky/greasy fingerprints or hardened residues of other bodily fluids/food drink etc. Used in conjunction with soft duster or the seat of an old pair of cotton jockeys, this stuff shifts everything. Having said all that, this product is in a plastic can pump/aerosol unlike the metal ones we had at work and the notchy action feels cheap and very much like one of those sprays that will fail whilst there is still a lot of product inside the container. If it doesn't and no isopropanol ever goes to waste would revise rating to five stars. - December 2018 update - Increased rating to five stars as pump still working well - So far I've fielded questions regarding derma-rollers, Motherboards, GPUs, rubbing alcohol, - I don't know what any of this stuff is?!

I've dropped a star from this review because the pump spray is not working correctly. This is not the fault of the seller, or the fault of the manufacturer, really, it's just one of those things. The actual product itself, however, when I'm able to get a good spraying from the can, is wonderful. I use this mainly for cleaning the rims/brake pads on my bike, and it's great for removing built up dirt or grease. Due to the faulty pump spray I would probably purchase my next lot from a bottle rather than a spray can.

Fantastic all rounder spray. I understand its main use states that it cleans magnetic read/write heads however I purchased this to remove excess glue from some crystals that I have although it has a ton of other uses. It removed the glue completely leaving the crystals shiny. I've also used this for cleaning sticky sticker marks which is effortless with this. It arrived well packaged with aerosol style cap. You simply shake the can and spray directly onto the surface. This does not leave any residue and dries quickly.i can see this lasting a while so I feel it's great value for what it is. Would recommend this as a great all rounder for removing stubborn marks like glue etc and cleaning.

But the sprayer is fantastic, easy to press with my not so great hands, and gives out a perfect mist. The bottle even says suitable for refilling on the front, which is great to see as it reduces waste. I most certainly will be refilling when the time comes, as its rare to find such a nice sprayer.

Isoclene is great for cleaning all sorts of delicate electricals as it evaporates quickly yet provides you with a cleaning substance. I personally bought this to clean 'sticky' buttons on my Xbox One controller caused by my son get dirt and grime in the controller. I sprayed the Isoclene directly onto the button and then continued to press it with some cotton wool, within seconds it was good as new. Great for general maintenance cleaning of gaming equipment as it leaves no residue. The 250ml spray will last along time and is definitely a good cleaning agent to have in your arsenal, I have barely used mine but glad that I have it and its on hand when needed. It is a pump action spray and NOT an aerosol but I feel this doesn't attract from the majority of cleaning situations that it will be used for.

Still waiting to try but good value for money

Highly effective in cleaning my PC parts such as the CPU. It quickly removed the thermal paste with minimal effort. The fluid is also quick-drying and doesn't leave any residue behind. One thing to note is that the smell is quite strong. While it doesn't linger for long after the cleaning is done, it can be overwhelming during use and may cause irritation for some people with sensitive noses. Overall, I highly recommend the cleaning fluid. Just be prepared for the strong smell.

idéal pour nettoyer des composants électroniques.. J'ai réparé avec ça des boutons pour les vitres électriques d'une polo qui avaient pris l'eau, beaucoup de Smartphones, des manettes de console etc.. Très efficace.. Je conseille une vieille brosse à dent avec ce produit c'est le top.

Der Reiniger ist sicher in Ordnung, doch sollte man nicht immer davon ausgehen, das der Druckkopf mit einer Reinigung noch zu retten ist. AF Isoclene, erst gesprüht, dann als Tauchbad verwendet, spülte jede Menge Farbe aus dem Kopf, ohne dass er danach wieder funktionstüchtig wurde - somit war der einzige Ausweg die Anschaffung eines neuen Druckers.
