Safe, secure and very easy to use.
We have a Toyota Rav4 and have struggled for some time to find and safe and secure way to carry bicycles. We were very hesitant to purchase and external carrier after a near disastrous event with a bicycle coming undone with a cheap Argos one a few years back. We ended up paying for a trailer hitch to be installed and bought a Daxara 3.5 trailer but the bikes do rattle about something terrible, and it took so long getting everything ready my husband was hesitant to take the bicycles on many occasions, so we finally decided to give this a chance thinking with Amazon's Generous return policy at least we could send it back if it was terrible. My husband says it did have instructions... but he did not read them, as he usually does not. It took less then ten minutes and my husband says would take less time to do again, but at the moment he is leaving it on as with the good weather it is getting a lot of use. We live in a bad area for theft, but thankfully this would be a difficult item to remove without a spanner making it more difficult to steal. If you do wish to take it off, it is is small and easy to store when disassembled, but very heavy. We use this for mountain bikes, which tend to be quite heavy, and of course one needs to go dirt or bumpy roads at times to get to the right places. The bikes feel absolutely secure and we have no worries on any type of road.. It will fit adult sized or child sized bikes, but sadly only two. Of course I can't complain as it is clearly advertised as this, and we knew it when purchasing. Our car does not have the rear wheel mounted in the centre as shown in the picture, but instead higher and to one side. This has not posed any problem and this honestly should fit any vehicle with an external rear wheel. The bikes are held very securely and well away from the vehicle itself so no worries of scratches or scrapes to the paint, which can happen with some traditional cycle carriers.I really couldn't be happier with this product. It was expensive, but considering the quality, I think the price was fair. It is worth paying a bit extra to know the bikes are safe and secure with no danger of coming undone and causing an accident, or damage to the bikes which have ended up rather expensive themselves. There is also the convenience factor. This makes it so much easier to take the bikes out. It is only a matter of seconds to securely clip the bicycles in place and we are good to go, and if we do want to, we can take the trailer as well, giving us room for all our camping gear and for the bikes.

Brilliant
If this rack is in your price range and all you are wondering about is quality I would say buy it, I would be very, very surprised if you were disappointed.I looked at various racks before purchasing this one but all previous racks looked rather flimsy compared to this item.I have a Ford Mondeo and write from this perspective. This rack is very solid with two main contact points, one just below the number plate and the second on the top of boot. Each contact point has large sponge feet which protect your vehicle. The two arms can be set at 4 different angles and can as the info states hold three bikes. Two adjustable straps fit under boot/just below number plate, two more fit top of rear windscreen and two further straps fit off to the sides by rear lights. Once fitted the item is very secure and I had no issues getting the clips to fit where they were meant to.This item comes fully assembled which saves a lot of time. Instructions are simple and clear. I read them once and was able to fit the rack without referring to them again. In fact it would not be too difficult to fit this item without even looking at the instructions at all. This item can be fitted in easily and simply in 10minsOnce fitted I loaded by bike and as recommend adjusted the straps to allow for the weight of the bike. I then used the central restraining strap to hold the bike in place. I had to use a couple of bungee cords to hold the wheel of my bike in place, but I would have done that for extra security any way. After driving for 30mins I checked my bike and nothing had shifted at all.All in all I am very pleased and glad I spent the extra money.I have now had the chance to use this rack on a 100mile journey carrying two cycles. Even after speeds of 70mph on motorway everything was a solid as it was when I started the journey and when driving nothing gave me cause for concern.I would recommend this rack without hesitation.I did have a query and emailed Hollywood info. I had a reply within 15mins so manufacturer/distributor was spot on too.Further more ordered Wednesday evening, arrived Friday.....can't ask for more than that.

Solid, Dependable, but glass boots/trunks may need adaptors
My decision to purchase was based on the reviews below. I wanted a high-mount car rack to keep myself "legal" ... the rear registration plate and lights had to remain visible. The instructions are reasonably clear, but the process of installing the item to my car wasn't straightforward. My car has a glass hatch/rear door, which meant that the hooks (at the end of the straps) are incompatible - as mentioned in the instructions, and not on the Amazon product page!! :-| To solve this problem, I had to order Saris Hatch Huggers, at my expense. Hatch Huggers are "dumbbell" shaped attachments, complete with matching straps - you "close" them into the boot/trunk area, and when the hatch is closed, they hold the straps in place. I bought two pairs of Hatch Huggers for the upper and middle positions, and used the original hooks for the lower straps (placed into the boot/trunk, and closed - no problems)The installation procedure can be time consuming, thanks to the straps - they need to be positioned correctly. However, once you have made sure the straps are tight ... you're ready to go. The F10 is very well built, and the "rubber" supports are very grippy. I can drive on the UK's uneven and poorly-maintained roads at moderate speed. Rear-visibility is adequate. In summary, the Hollywood F10 is well-made, solid, and dependable. This isn't a fast-fit item! The hooks at the end of the straps aren't compatible with a number of vehicles - including both of mine!
