Almost immediate relief!
I bought this earlier this week and used it for the first time last night.Very simple to prepare and comfortable to use - with the additional benefit of forcing me to actually relax for 10 minutes and I benefited from the 'me' time as much as the eye mask! It felt very soothing to wear, so much so that I didn't want to take it off!Immediately afterwards I cleansed both eyes using the Blesaphol Micellar lotion, including applying a small amount to a cotton wool bud and gently cleaning the tear duct area and corner of the eye and edges of the eyelid.I did this straight before bed and had a great night's sleep and woke up with much less redness and swelling/soreness.An early work start so I didn't have time to use the mask again this morning, only to clean my eyes using the Blesaphol; I am hoping that routine will be sufficient to minimise and hopefully clear my current flare up.I am also using essential Waitrose reviving eye drops to give some moisture into the eye itself and help to lessen the dryness. My eyes are still running a little though but hopefully once full routine for a few days this may also ease up.I can't recommend both the eye mask and Blesaphol Micellar lotion enough - I have previously used the Blesaphol pre-soaked pads but find these quite expensive in comparison and I prefer to be in control of how much lotion applied, and also feel that applying it direct to a cotton bud and cleaning in that way is more beneficial than just wiping the eyes with a soaked pad. I have also read that an omega 3 supplement can help and going to give that a try too.

Needless to say my efforts have been sporadic and recently my blepharitis has been really bad, causing stys and swelling
I've had blepharitis for years and was told about seven years ago by my optician to use heat for five minutes a day. Needless to say my efforts have been sporadic and recently my blepharitis has been really bad, causing stys and swelling. After I nuked a little lavender pad too much in the microwave I looked for something else - and found this.I'm only giving this 4 stars because I don't know for sure if it is the pad which has decreased the symptoms of my blepharitis - I have been using it for a few weeks and haven't had any swelling, stys or flaking in point in my eye lid where it's usually bad. But I am guessing (hoping!) it is the pad that's making a difference! I find that I can only leave it in hot water for about a minute - anything more and the water starts to cool making the pad not as warm as I like. (Maybe I have a cold house.) I used it at night when I go to bed because the couple of times I tried it during the day my eyes were blurry for quite a while after. Using it at night works as a practical solution and is quite pleasant. I'd say it's value for money, easy to use and worth a go - would definitely recommend it because IF it is the eye pad that's making a difference, then it is worth every penny.

Good for doing hot compresses, but no miracle cure for blepharitis.
This is a high quality item, I have used it twice a day for about 2 months now. It is starting to show signs of wear but I am not the most careful with it. It is not a miracle cure for blepharitis (I have found ocusoft foam the best I have tried so far) but I wanted to keep following my doctors advice and it is definitely preferable to using a hot damp towel which I found really dried my eyes out. My symptoms have slowly improved while using this product. The mask comes in a resealable bag which is handy for storage and if you travel a lot it is easy to bring with you hygenically. The gel pack that it comes with (sits inside the mask in use) spreads the heat very evenly and is very comforable to use. One benefit of this over the microwave eye packs is that it is heated using boiling water, again if you travel regularly this is a definite bonus as not everywhere you go will have a microwave but most will have a kettle. All in all I would recommend this product to anyone whose doctor has told them to do hot compresses, I will be buying another one when this one has worn out.

Better than the one in the High St
I was diagnosed with blepharitis much to my dismay. I bought a blepharitis mask on the High Street that you put in the microwave with little beads inside. It worked okay but nothing brilliant. A month or so later, we were going abroad on holiday and I realised my microwave mask wouldn't be any good as there was no microwave in the apartment.I was petrified as the mask was at least keeping the swelling at bay, thinking I was going to look like something from a horror film on holiday.I thought I'll check Amazon. Delighted to find this which is more of a gel than beads and you simply sit it in hot water.I tried it at home before we went away and it was fantastic!! It stayed hotter much longer than the other one and was easier to heat up.It was great for my holiday as I simply boiled the kettle in the apartment and was able to easily use it whilst there. When I got home, I continued to use this mask, as it seemed to work better and heat more efficiently.Thank you, thank you!

The problem may not be gone but it is under control which is good enough for me
Started using this eye mask alongside Blephasol eye lotion . Going to the GP got me no where so decided to do something myself. I wipe each eye with the lotion and then use the eye mask for 10 minutes . When I first started using it I did so every day for two weeks and then reduced using the eye mask to every other night using the lotion every night. I have not had a reccurance since using it , what a relief. It was really getting me down and so unsightly and uncomfortable. Using both products has become a nighttime routine. I have also decided to change my eye makeup as using eyeliner made my eyes flare up and I just do not do no makeup at all. I went online and discovered Eye Care a range of makeup for sensitive eyes and ordered their high tolerance mascara and their eyeliner which I now use and have had no flare ups. I am going to order other products in the range.I hope this helps others with Blepharits. I went on other peoples reviews and it certainly helped me . The problem may not be gone but it is under control which is good enough for me. 😃
