From one of the Best film workers around today
From one of the Best film workers around today, ( Denis Villeneuve ) , Prisoners, Arrival, Enemy, Blade Runner 2049 , THIS Sicario 10/10 AND the Brilliant " INCENDIES " ( Elemental & expertly directed... haunts long after the credits have rolled ), SICARIO a story of the "War on Drugs" against the Mexican Cartels ,NOT a black and white war, or a transparent one either ,seems both sides cross the line (what ever that is) and DO what ever they have to, to get an upper hand & " my enemies enemy is my friend ", Its a story of war on drugs but also revenge, betrayal and loyalties. Just like the REAL Drug Wars a war that cant be won because its so damn complex and often comes down to who is prepared to go that extra mile , who can be more ruthless and stack up more bodies than the other side ....Its Complex, well acted , beautiful cinematography, at times you wont be able to catch a breath, really, honestly its a masterpiece ...

'JUST SIGN TO SAY EVERYTHING WAS DONE BY THE BOOK' (ABSORBING DRAMA),
F.B.I Agent 'Kate Macey' (Emily Blunt) is invited by Task-Force leader 'Matt Graver' (Josh Brolin) to volunteer to be apart of his team to tackle a Mexican Cartel that are responsible for the supply of drugs to the U.S.Their task is to identify the Drug-Lord and close him down.'Kate' readily agree's given what had happened earlier in the day when as a part of a S.W.A.T team raiding a suspecteddrug operation in a small town close to Phoenix two of her colleagues were killed and a gruesome discovery was made,by joining the task-force those responsible for what she'd witnessed may well be brought to justice. With the task-force leader 'Matt' and consultant 'Alejandro' (Benicio Del Toro) she fly's to El Paso to link up with the restof the team.'Alejandro' has a questionable past but has his reasons for being a part of the task-force, there is a score to settle. The task begins almost immediately raiding a location in a Mexican border-town, what happens when the team are leavingMexico will trouble 'Kate'She is an idealist and has yet to realize what she'd signed up for the learning curve could yet be fatal. There have been many films of this genre in recent years, i feel this to be superior than many, it builds slowly but always holdsones attention, it's an engaging and convincing movie with excellent performances from 'Benicio Del Toro' and 'Emily Blunt'Features -Stepping into Darkness - The Visual Design of SicarioBlunt, Brolin and Benicio - Portraying the Characters of SicarioA Pulse from the Desert - The Score of SicarioBattle Zone - The Origins of Sicario

Tense Thriller but a Little Slow
'Sicario' is a Thriller set within Mexico, where a new FBI agent called 'Kate' has been hired to tackle drug activity within the location after a house was filled with many dead bodies and explosive devices all caused by a drug lord who plans to do it again unless he is stopped. However, Kate notices that her team aren't following the rules and are soon in danger, threat and trouble. I was disappointed with this film because there were far too many slow and dragged out scenes. But that said there were some very impressive action scenes, tense moments and the storyline was very gripping. The actors were brilliant especially Emily Blunt. And overall. This is a well made, tense film for most of the time only let down by some of the slow scenes. 3.5 Stars for the film. The Blu-ray picture was fantastic and the disc also has Dolby Digital Atmos formatted on it, meaning if you have a Soundbar or Home Cinema System then the sound will be very realistic (But the dialogue was maybe too low volume compared to the extremely loud music and sounds). You even get the Blu-ray in a fancy black case with a slipcover!

Perfect
Masterpiece of suspence and action. I have lost count how many times I have watched this. Denis Villeneuve is the most talented Director out there today.

Excellent movie about Mexican Cartels and more
Probably one of the best movies I've seen in a long time with an original story line. Emily Blunt and Benicio del Toro are both a piece of an entirely excellent casting, and I don't think I could fault a single part.Deservedly nominated for 3 academy awards, including best score for Jóhann Jóhannsson, with the soundtrack being one of my all time movie favourites.

A killer film.
Brilliant film with solid performances by all especially from Emily Blunt. The clue to the story is given in the first few minutes but as the tale unravels you get sucked into a dirty world of blurry loyalties and fuzzy authority. The plot swerves around and the viewer isn't quite sure who the good guys are supposed to be. Benico Del Toro is the still centre of a storm, Josh Brolin a gum chewing sleaze. All come together with a skilled directors touch. Highly recommended.
