With my contacts in, its hard for me to read tiny lettering and focus. I dont want to remove my contacts every time I need to read some fine print on a label, box, or item. I looked at alot of different magnifying glasses on here, but wanted one I could leave on my work table and not take up room, or anything and no batteries to deal with. This is pretty small at barely larger than a quarter and comes in a nice little box that keeps it from getting dusty. Ive used it several times now, and while it takes a second to get it positioned right, it works fine,

I was looking for a powerful magnifying glass that was compact and sturdy. Because of the price I was a bit leery of this Loupe but went ahead and ordered it. It arrived in good condition in it's own plastic case. The metal is sturdy and while it doesn't feel very high end it also doesn't feel cheap either. The fit and finish of the metal casing is good, there are no rough spots or sharp edges. The optics themselves are relatively decent considering the price. There is quite a bit of distortion but it still works well although you need a lot of light for it to give a bright image. The fold out and up is nice and smooth without any drag or grittiness and it is tight enough that the loupe doesn't open up accidentally. I originally bought this loupe as an addition to my emergency gear because it was going to be just a backup way to start a fire. I took it out on a sunny day late in the afternoon and was still able to get a laser dot that started a dry leaf smoking immediately. Haven't gone all the way to making a fire with it yet but I'm sure it will do with the right kindling and tinder. I was so happy with this loupe that I bought another because at around $5 this was the best thing I was finding. As an added bonus we have been using it with the kids to look at tiny things and they have been loving it, might have to buy a 3rd one. Update: My son still loves playing with this thing. I ended up buying some thin plastic card magnifying glasses as firestarters as well, we'll see how they work. I'm still glad I bought these as they are very sturdy and have even held up under the onslaught that is 5 year old playtime.

The perfect loupe. I got an extra for myself, identical to another one i own, and one to give to a friend. You real cannot have too many loupes!

It’s a jewelers loop, nothing more. Is it great? No. Does it work? Yes. It is not a triple ( but I can not remember if that was in the description) and it is NOT a 30x loop. I purchased a 10x loop a week prior and decided I needed slightly more magnification. When this loop came up did not seem to have any more magnification than my first loop. Comparing the two side-by-side I saw that they both had the same magnification. This one has a plastic lens held by a metal body. The handle/cover part is held on by two screws, front and back, which I like. If it gets a little loose it’s just simply tightening a Phillips screw. It was cheap enough that I’m not going to return it and I’ll have a back up. I ordered a 30x and I received a 10x. So much for truth in advertising.

It is unusable it is so loose that you can't use it to focus.

Die Vergrößerung und die Linsen sind so wie es sein soll, aber das Gehäuse ist zu scharfkantig! So mag ich das Teil nicht in die Hand / Finger nehmen. Dazu ist das Schraubenscharnier sehr locker und wackelt. Wer einen Dremel oder aber Bleistift mit Schleifpapier hat, und die Grate wegschleift, der mag mit der Lupe auskommen...
