Best makers of denim jeans, if i do stray away from Wrangler then its to the next best in Levi, same goes for denim jackets, I've been wearing both denim jeans + denim jackets for well over 50+ years, I'm now fast approaching 67 years old, and you'll notice me from some distance away, the auld guy with long white hair, denim jacket + denim jeans, rounded off with beautiful pair of cowboy boots, something i have never wandered from, all in denim apart from cotton t-shirts and the trusted cowboy boots, you see anyone fitting that description, then you'll know you've come close to passing me by.

So I ordered some Wrangler jeans because the other big brand keeps getting holes at the crotch area, always the same place, quality control went down I guess, anyways I thought I would try Wrangler, now the problem is the size chart, I cannot comment yet on the jeans as it’s too early to know how good they are but the size chart for Wranglers Authentics is just confusing, I will explain below. I looked closely at the size chart, I needed a 33 inch, really anything 32 inch to 34 inch is workable for me, so I saw it said 33.5 inch waist and 39 inch hips, I ordered the jeans, turns out I was ordering a 40 inch UK waist size, since these are a pain to go back as I have no printer I decided to just keep and tighten with a belt but that’s way too big really, the 33 inch ones say something like 28 inch waist, far too tight, who are they making these for ? Skinny teens ? Not that happy to be honest, the sizing chart just confuses people I think, I looked at it several times and thought this was going to be 33.5 inch as per the descriptors but turns out that’s likely a USA guide, why include that section on a UK guide Amazon, it is just going to confuse your customers, as it confused me. I am happy for those not confused. Anyways I’m going to contact Amazon and tell them I think that’s a problem area for Wranglers Authentics.

Ich trage Wrangler-Jeans schon seit den späten Siebzigern – und das nicht ohne Grund. Die Marke hat für mich immer gehalten, was sie verspricht: robuste Qualität, bequemer Sitz und ein Stil, der nicht aus der Mode kommt. Auch bei dieser Hose wurde ich wieder nicht enttäuscht. Die Farbe „Desert Mirage“ gefällt mir besonders gut – ein schöner, etwas ausgefallener Ton, der trotzdem vielseitig kombinierbar ist. Nicht zu grell, nicht zu langweilig. Genau richtig, wenn man mal was anderes als klassisches Blau oder Schwarz tragen will. Was den Schnitt angeht: Regular Fit passt bei mir einfach. Die Hose sitzt bequem, ohne zu locker zu sein, und der Stretch-Anteil macht sie im Alltag angenehm tragbar – ob beim Gehen, Sitzen oder einfach beim Unterwegssein. Man merkt, dass Wrangler weiß, wie man eine Jeans macht, die nicht nur gut aussieht, sondern auch funktioniert. Und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis? Für mich stimmt’s. Man bekommt hier keine Billigware, sondern eine Hose, die auch nach vielen Wäschen noch sitzt und nicht ausleiert. Genau das, was ich von Wrangler gewohnt bin.

Wrangler Texas Contrast Straight Jeans Darkstone 009 has no stretch. That is a pity. It's 100% cotton. It says at the site stretch but it isn't. It fits nice but not as comfortable as the stretchy Wrangler Texas Contrast Straight blue black 002 i bought the other day.
