She was lost in this book for days and has re-read a few times. Light hearted and easy to read. Has helped her to put things into perspective and move forward with more confidence. I read it and cringed at some of the things iโd been doing thinking I was helping her but really wasnโt so a great read for parents too! Review: packed with practical advice - Very informative book. All parents of teenagers must buy this book!
I love this book! It's a must for any suffering parent of a teen either for them to read or yourself. I read this book with my 13 year old son and we both really enjoyed it. It's written for teenagers so in teenage speak (some swear words included much to my sons amusement!) is very very funny in parts & has a few activities they can do. It didn't take us long to read it as we enjoyed it so much. There are opportunities for discussion on the issues raised in the book. It certainly provokes your teen to think about certain things & hopefully take them in. My son isn't the easiest of teens but he really responded to this book especially the bit about being the best version of yourself. We even use that now in our conversations so I at least know he's taken some of it in. Even if you think your ten aged wouldn't read this book still buy it as you might be surprised. My son isn't into reading so when we had time together I would read it aloud to him & we'd laugh & talk about what I'd read. So if nothing else it's a bonding session & am light alternative to try & get your teen to think about themselves, their behaviour & how they are important to our world. This book is simply brilliant & worth the money. I'm now going to pass it onto my friend who also has a teenager. It arrived quickly & no hassle. So don't delay order it today!! ๐

I have my lovely daughter back!
I bought this book for my 11 year old daughter, who has been particularly hit by hormonal mood swings and other challenges. The morning after she finished it, she woke up like a different child. She's lighter, happier, and refers to herself as being optimistic. Her teachers have commented, her friends have noticed a difference and life at home seems easier and happier. I asked her what it was about the book she found most helpful, she said "all of it" and then added that the quotes from celebrities about what it felt like when they were teenagers were really good. It doesn't matter what you say as a parent, I guess they will always listen more to someone else say it - and if you're famous, even better!! I don't know how long the effect will last, but I guess she always has the book to refer back to.

Very popular book with teenagers
Great little book which looks very interesting to read. Lots of variety in styles, colours and images inside. Despite my daughter having a strong aversion to books and reading in general, she started it straight away and hasn't put it down! Can only recommend it to all parents with teenagers... might actually help them to understand themselves a bit better and learn a few tricks on the way. Excellent gift for any teenager.

Check the content
Bought this for my granddaughter had a quick look and seemed a nice little book however I then spotted a page apparently quoting a famous singer which said Dying is easy itโs living thatโs hard. Why on earth would the author this this is acceptable for our impressionable young people to read?? Needless to say I returned the book โฆ.this has got to stop

Miracles do happen
I'm tempted to say it's a miracle cure. In reality I can see some definite positive changes to my teenagers attitude. I'm getting more than a monosyllabic groan and she said she loved me, I nearly fell over. I usually get nothing, a zombie replica of my child had taken over. This book is definitely worth giving to them to read, I just left it on the bed hoping she would have a peak. I definitely had a peak and it has a good common sense approach to life. I don't usually bother with most reviews but if your tearing your hair out it will prevent this baldness spreading. Well worth buying there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I read this and then gave it to my teenage daughter. I hope it will give her some good ideas about how to be the best person she can be and how to be happy. I really liked the style of the book. The only thing I would criticise is that it assumes that teenagers use Facebook and they don't! Instagram and other social networking sites are more popular with teenagers!!!! Some of the advice is useful for adults as well as for teenagers. A great book!

My 14 year old is going through puberty... he swings between annoying, dramatic, lazy, dramatic, angry, annoying, and totally not-logical... a lot of not owning up to his own behaviors and putting blame onto his parents where he really has nothing to complain about... The Art of Being a Brilliant Teenager has a good message that parents will appreciate, which mainly is do something with your life. Itโs funny, blunt, and helpful all rolled into one. The authors deliver their messages in a way that is relatable to a teen while referencing films, their own personal experiences, and quotes. Visually appealing and easy to read. The book, overall, will help reinforce the message that parent's have been trying to get their children to realize, which is essentially either get by or make an effort... and if you want more for yourself, you are in control. My son read the book in a day and laughed several times throughout. I do hope that it reached him, but at least I know that both my husband and I have done what we can... I suggest this to any parent with a teen...
