Intend to buy a couple more.I have a 10-inch laptop which I use at night with the room lights off to avoid upsetting my circadian rhythm but in the dark I cannot see the keyboard and make typing mistakes. I bought this lamp to put next to the laptop to illuminate the keyboard. I have it sitting at one side with the light shining down across the keyboard. The direction of the light being mostly downwards, it has no noticeable impact on the screen. This works out just great.I am impressed enough that I will be ordering a couple more for use as reading lamps in bedrooms. It is convenient that they don't need to remain plugged in, as they can be carried around to wherever they are needed. Light-weight, folds neatly, easy to carry. Also it generates negligible heat unlike traditional lamps, something important on hot summer days when trying to stay cool.What got my attention with this product initially was the name "Tranya" because I am a Star Trek fan and in the original series that was the name of a drink offered by Balok of the First Federation to captain James T Kirk aboard Balok's ship Fesarius. Seems to me that naming a product after something in Star Trek is a great way of drawing attention to it.

These lights are extremely handy for the hobbyist with no sockets in his hobby cupboard! At maximum brightness two of these lights can create a great illuminated space that is the next best thing to daylight when painting models in a windowless space. They have decent articulation that allows you to angle the lights as need and have three useful settings varying from very subtle to extremely bright. The charge holds reasonably well depending on which setting you use it, but when plugged into the mains the lights are Significantly brighter (which makes me question the efficiency of the batteries, as at full charge I see now reason it shouldn't be as bright as the mains) in any case these are great little lights and the utility of being able to go wireless and take them where needed can't be overstated. I bought this portable, battery-powered desk lamp to take to a holiday park for two weeks as I wanted a lamp to read by during the evening. The lamp is small enough to just shove into a rucksack or suitcase but not impractially so that it doesn't give enough light, it has good weight and feels well-made and durable (enough so that it should survive plenty of packing and travelling), looks nice with its minimal design and is, most importantly, easy to use and bright enough for most situations (it illuminated my whole room when on the highest setting). I found that the three brightness settings varied quite a lot and made the lamp versatile. One minor setback which I found was that the touch-sensative switch wasn't always suitably responsive as it tooks a few prods of the finger a couple of times before it would respond (I compared this with an AC-only lamp from another manufacturer which is more responsive and more consistent). Overall, I would consider this an ideal travel companion, especially for someone who likes to read by bedside light.

Updated: So when I received a faulty lamp (it was flickering and turning on and off randomly) and the seller contacted me and sent me another for free right away. I have tested it for a few days now and it works quite well. It is a bit easy to push over, but you can probably see that from the images, it's as I expected now, very good for the money, it lasts for more than two hours on one charge (haven't used it for longer). It's been used a week and going strong. No flicker as I previously experienced, and it is indeed touch sensitive.

This looks so sleek it's hard to believe that it was that cheap, and it matches my iMac perfectly!Personally, I leave it plugged into the USB when I'm at my desk because it's much brighter that way, but the fact that I can take it to bed with me in case I can't sleep, so that I can read without turning the bedside lamp on and waking my husband and dogs up and having to get up at 4am!When it's plugged in on my desk it creates a generous amount of light to be able to work under without any eye strain at all, and having 3 levels of light means that I can have it on most of the day at various levels and adjust it when the light changes in the room. I use an iMac, iPad and good old pen and paper and this doesn't blind when shining on white paper.If this broke, I would definitely buy another one

This is a simple and easy light, comes in handy. this can be charged and runs for a reasonable amount of time before needing to be plugged in but be warned, the light quality/intensity diminishes rather quickly on the charge but works perfect plugged in and easy to use or grab when I need more light on my projects

I was looking for a strong LED desk lamp to purchase for the wife to enlighten her new journey into nail care.I was blown away with the bright light emitted from this sleek and stylish unit.The light has 3 brightness settings which are controlled by touching the base of the unit, a fourth tap will turn the unit off again.Battery:Not sure about the battery size as this is not documented anywhere on the product or in the literature provided.We try to keep the light charged up when not in use but have had 1 hour of light with no signs of dimming. The light is slightly stronger when plugged in and charging, this can be observed by plugging the unit in while the light is on.For the price, I recommend this product but would raise concerns over the lack of battery information and "Chinglish" literature.
