It may only be a strap but, depending on your use, quality can be extremely important. I use tiedowns to secure sea kayaks to my roof bars and, given the risks associated with a 30kg 18 foot long object coming loose on the road, I need straps I can depend on. On inspection, I can say these are the most robust I have seen out of the dozen or so different makes I have bought over the past few years. The most common reason for me replacing straps is the buckle deteriorating, usually with the spring being the first part to go. The buckles on these straps are excellent and the spring is of a gauge and quality that I expect it to last considerably longer than I normally get. The strap material and stitching is of equally high quality. I'll be buying more.

These are the ones you are looking for if you want the most durable/high quality straps. I've tried a lot of these over the years and these particular ones are a cut above. The strap part is pretty much the same of course but the clip is much better quality. The spring is a hell of a lot stronger and the gripper/tooth bit has a more curved paddle end bit to help with the extra force needed to open it. The cross brace bar that the spring sits on (the part that has broken on all the other straps I've used outdoors) is about twice as thick and actually integrated with the pin that holds the gripper, so there's one less point of failure. I know this is being a bit picky but when you have to replace these every few months then it starts to add up! I've definitely got a lot more confidence these can hold way more weight and will last longer so if you're looking for good quality one then you've found them.

Good bit of kit only used once but very easy to use.

This is a very good product. I use it everyday to make sure my bicycle will remain at its place on the bike carrier. Ever since I started use these I stopped worrying about loosing the bike. I am using only one as it is more than enough to keep the bike on the carrier without moving. It is very easy to use and so far (I have used it for 2 months almost daily) it is in the same condition as it was the first day I used it no matter the weather conditions.

Excellent product, strong and good length for any roof rack tying. I bought this product to secure a kayak to roof of my car for a 7 hour journey. Worked perfectly and kayak was very sturdy on roof. Having 2 in the pack allowed me to make sure that it was secure as possible. The tiedowns are well made and look great in yellow. Great price, great product!

Use these for lagging pipe work best I’ve had

Great product! Very easy to use and they securely fasten items to roof bars with no trouble at all. I use them to attach my surfboards to the roof and they have done this very well. All in all a strong a reliable product which I would highly recommend.

Was purchased to hold a single mattress folded in half whilst it was being transported to the local tip in my car. Was a little uncertain about whether these would be up to the job but the grip on the buckle is easily strong enough to withstand the strain of the mattress trying to unfold itself. I'm sure the 2.5 metre length will make them useful for securing other large items in the future.
