TFA Puck Kitchen Timer, Turquoise

Lovely noisy timer.
The media could not be loaded. Great magnetic visual timer. While kids don’t have a clear sense of time at a young age, they can visually see time decreasing as the timer counts down.It goes up to an hour and the fact that it's magnetic makes it a lot easier to set on the fridge and the children know where to look. The magnet is really strong. The timer is of a good size, meaning it is easy for an adult to use and easy for a child to see.Love the colour and the price. The only thing I don't like about it is the constant and really fast ticking noise, it would make mad anyone trying to get on with a quiet activity. For things like meal times and play, time to leave the house etc it works a treat, but please don't use this timer for homework if you don't want your child to end up with a nervous breakdown!!.

Not so “Perfect magnetic retro timer” : update
Unfortunately this has now stopped working. It was great and I used it daily. I expected it to last years not months. I don’t think I’ve even had it 6 months. Very disappointing…This is exactly what I wanted! I like the colour (blue) and retro style - it suits my cottage kitchen. I stick it high up on the fridge so I can’t lose it to any little hands who might use it as a toy! Yes it does tick, but there’s so much other noise in our house it really doesn’t bother me. When it goes off I can even hear it upstairs, over all the other noise, so it’s great for stopping me forgetting I’ve got something cooking. Just remember to turn it right round to 60 before you go back to the number of minutes you actually need 😉

we like it. works when used correctly. blue hue is different in real life.
we've had this for a month or so and used it quite a bit. its worked really well for us. we duo-purpose it. half the time for cooking food, and the other half for administering time outs or monitoring tv time. havent had any issues, even when setting timepoints as low as 2mins. the key (as many other reviewers have stated) is that you have to wind all the way to 55mins or so, and then back to the time you actually want. otherwise you arent charging up the system, so to speak, and the bell wont ring.the blue colour is very turquoise, it appears more mute/pastel in the item photo than it really is.

Excellent revision aide for GCSES
I was recommended this timer by The Study Boss my son’s tutor as a great aide for his GCSE revision and it is awesome. No batteries, easy to use and it shows the time disappearing which is motivating. I’m buying another two today!

Poor
I bought two of these, and both stopped working. Thought they were high quality initially, really liked them, but failed ultimately. For example, setting the timer for 40 minutes, but the first 15 minutes were wiped out in less than 15 seconds. Both now in the bin 😕

Loved for about a month now broken
I love the colour and really like how it displays the minutes decreasing for our 5year old. However Unfortunately I found the timer on the floor in pieces this morning, as it had separated from its magnetic disc which was still on the fridge. It now appears to be not working :(U will investigate a replacement.

Useful timer
This timer works fine. I am glad that I read in one of the reviews that you have to turn the dial the whole way round then back to your selected time point otherwise the timer doesn't ring when the time is up!

Falls apart
I must've bought 3 of these in 3/4 years and quite frankly they are poorly made and imo, waste of money. Why is it beyond the wit of man to make a reliable, sufficiently loud & quality-made timer that sticks to over door!?
