What an extraordinary book. I didn't know anything about the author before purchasing this book, I just wanted to learn about nakshatras and oh my god I think I got a million times more than what I expected, thank you so much Komilla you're an excellent writer and astrologer. This book it's precise, it's deep, it's exceptionally well written. She made me fall more in love with jyotish, I don't have the money but after reading this master piece I really wish I could take her course.

This book is on my virtual bedside table. I refer to it every day as I dwell endlessly of the nakshatras and their impact on human life but mostly, for my readings. Clients are continuously amazed by the level of insight that I provide. Buy it, even if you don't practice Jyotish, but wonder about your future, and quite literally thank your stars! I guarantee it will make you more insightful and provide added perspective to your life, that you did not consider previously. The most important part of the book are the Pauranik stories associated with the nakshatras and Komillaji's interpretations on each nakshatra. As a student of Komillaji, who has referred to several books and researched nakshatras under other prominent Jyotishis as well, this is absolutely brilliant book on nakshatras. You will not be disappointed.

As a student of Jyotish for 20 years and exposed to a wide range of texts on the subject it is always a pleasure to immerse in Komilla's wisdom. Her advanced exposition, as in this book, combines insights into the definitive Jyotish as explained in the traditional texts along with a deep insight into Vedic tradition as well as Indian culture. This results in a read which is not only fascinating but also practical in connecting the knowledge with the reality of one's own Jyotish chart and daily reality. Highly recommend this top quality Jyotish exposition.

This is a very well written book. If you are looking for a Nakshatra reference book or if you are interested to learn about the Nakshatra system, I recommend it. I've read a number of Jyotish Astrology books and this has immediately risen to the top of my list in terms of readability and content. Thank you Mrs. Sutton for a very well written reference on the lunar mansions.

I own all of Komilla Sutton's books on Vedic astrology. She explains Eastern or Vedic astrology in clear and accessible language; her books are fun and easy to ready. In this one, she provides great insight into the mystical mansions of the moon. A must-read for anyone interested in Eastern mysticism or astrology.

Sutton is one of the world's experts, at least writing in English, of Vedic Astrology. Anyone interested in the Nakshatras, also called the Moon Mansions, needs to have this book. The Nakshatras add considerably more depth to interpretation of a horoscope. Without knowing and using this information, you are only skimming the surface of the information available in a chart.

Komilla Sutton's books are a must-have for basic & intermediate students of Jyotish. 'Nakshatras: The Stars Beyond the Zodiac 's unique in my library in that it includes how every planet behaves in each nakshatra. While it's not exhaustive in that respect, it's a superb guide and I reference it regularly. Many thanks Komillaji!

I have read much on Nakshatras, including the very good 27 Gods book, and this one I have to say is my favorite. It has easy to read descriptions of each nakshatra, each planet in each nakshatras, the changes with the padas, and anything else I found myself wanting to know. Thanks!

It is a wonderful guide for the ones who are interested in nakshatras

Very informative book. Although there are many books on similar topics, the author has carefully avoided duplication of information and provided lots of new information which is helpful for a novice as well as a professional astrologer. An advice to the author for the next edition is to include the remedial measures for each nakshatra, which she mentioned in her book but did not provide. A must buy for those who would like supplement with Dennis Harness's book on nakshatra.
