Shocked
I purchased the wrong one, as I need the PS2 for the smaller tank, but I was impressed by the size of this skimmer for the price. As with any piece of equipment and basing my review on the PS2, protein skimmers do make aerated sounds, that is what makes them work. They take time to settle in and calibrate to your system. So yes, you mig be adjusting the controls and air intake for a week or so, but I am happy with mine and it skims sufficiently to sustain my little reef.

Good little skimmer.
Bought for my 55ltr nano tank, which it just fits. Nice and quiet, skims a treat, so all in all a good purchase.

Barley satisfactory skimmer. Hard to adjust and slow and noisy.

Good. But a pain
This skimmer does what it's supposed to do and does it effectively. The only thing I've noticed apart from it being quite noises the amount of micro bubbles it lets off into the tank. This eventually stopped but then started again when I cleaned the unit. Makes the water look cloudy. You can use filter socks/pads to limit this and stop it happening but should you have to?
