Fast shipping which means a lot. Reasonably priced.
This hardback book was great. It is little and is easy for little hands to carry around. My grandson didn't let it go all evening, he is one. Rhymes are the good ones from way back when and pictures are great.

A wonderful new baby gift
This is the classic mother goose with the old wonderful illustrations. I loved reading it to my dis years ago and it's a great gift for a new baby especially if there are older siblings in the family to read this to.Is to.

Great buy
This book is a favorite at our house. It has well known nursery rhymes (Jack and Jill, One Two Buckle My Shoe, Baa Baa Black Sheep) as well as nursery rhymes my family wasn't as familiar with (For Baby, Sleep Baby Sleep, A Star). There is another book very similar to this but with different nursery rhymes that I would suggest also. It is called, 'The Real Mother Goose' and has Mother Goose on the cover. These two books are very loved at our house.

Childhood Revisted
I have the bigger version of this from my childhood still on my bookshelf, but I bought this one so my son could enjoy the rhymes and not destroy my beloved copy. I am satisfied by it on the whole. It has popular rhymes like Baa, Baa, Black Sheep and Jack and Jill. However, there are not so popular ones like A Star and Goosey, Goosey Gander. The only thing I don't like is the need to modernize and "diversify" it with the original pictures. As an African-American, I appreciate books with diversity and I will choose books for my son on that basis at times. However, with that said, I'm ok with historical treasures staying in their original shape. This book was first published in 1916 and the illustrations not only reflect a romanticized idea of English countryside in the 1800s, but also we know a children's book with black characters mixing with white ones in 1916 would not have occurred. As someone who majored in British history, I'm ok with that. It's like playing revisionist history to make us more comfortable and not feel awkward about our past. It would be like africanizing a Pre-Raphaelite painting. It's absurd! But overall, I'm satisfied. My son learn the nursery rhymes that did and one day, we'll read my original Real Mother Goose.

A Favorite of My Granddaughter
The book is designed with bulky pages that are easy for babies and small children to turn. The rhymes are condensed and keeps attention better. Very colorful and attractive for infants and older.

Sturdy first book for toddlers. Teaches them rhyming words while they're havig fun.
I used this product as part of a baby gift. You can never start teaching children how much fun reading is at too early an age.
