Easy, cheap and with added value.
Does what it says on the tin! If you need a SIM PAYG this arrives quickly and comes with the benefit of tariff offers.EE has great speeds and network coverage much better than when I use my other phone on O2 in the same area.Good seller too.

After much fuss will finally work as a true PAYG sim, but, by god EE really don’t want it to!
Second iPhone acting as a backup just in case my main phone (from work) is ever withdrawn, so bought fully expecting to be given the hard sell to buy into a recurring ‘totally not a contract’ pack or similar despite the PAYG brand, because let’s face it, no phone company wants you to have a sim you barely use. Let’s say EE did not disappoint in this regard, but eventually I was able to opt out of packs and simply top up.Key points:>You still have to pay £15 upfront and register a debit card upon activation, even if just intending to top up, fine for me since the sim cost under £1.>The top up credit will last 180 days provided you send the odd call/text to keep it alive.>If not used at all within that time the sim will permanently deactivate and the number will be lost.>Do yourself a favour and check signal strength online before buying, if EE have poor coverage in your area, it’s unlikely to improve in the near future, so go with one of the other big 4 providers. For me it’s working great.>Not remotely cost competitive vs a contract for data if that is what you actually want. Roaming should be switched off and all data managed using wifi obviously.>After the obnoxiously complicated set up, it will suffice for a ‘back of the draw’ phone, or if gifting to a relative who will make only minimal use.>If you have an old number you want to use you can call the EE centre to change the sims number to this.>If phone is not corporate-locked to EE as mine was, Giffgaff is still the better deal for true PAYG, if only due to the effortlessly set up and ease of topping up.

DO NOT BUY!
From the moment I put this sim in my phone I started to receive constant random phone calls day and night. The same with WhatsApp messages/calls with messages based around religion and "mum are you there? Please answer". Today something not acceptable happened and it was time to leave a review.Avoid!

Does the job but beware of the up-sell
I bought this SIM for my dad, who I gifted my old smartphone. He hardly ever calls anyone so a simple occasional top-up would be fine for him. But EE wanted him to buy a "pack" worth £15, which gave him more data than he was ever going to use. I can't work out if he had to buy a pack to activate the SIM, but my warning to others is to be aware that EE will try to make you buy a pack when you install the SIM. You don't need a pack for day-to-day usage.
