My favourite soup and stir-fry base!
Pleased to have found this online as my local supermarkets no longer stock it. It's a pleasant midrange flavour that works equally well as a stock or soup base. My son is vegan so it gets used a lot when he's around, but pretty regularly whenever I cook anything Asian biased. My current (non vegan) fave is as a soup base with egg noodles and veg, topped with pan fried salmon and a generous shake of furikake seasoning (a Japanese spice blend with citrus and samphire). Nom!

Tasty, not overpowering
This is the first time I've tried Miso, it's milder than I thought, not too salty at all. It almost adds a beefy taste to soups.I've bought this to make my own hoisin type dip, since most hoisin sauce has msg and colourings ... read a recipe where you mix this with some 5 spice and water and blend. Makes a great dip.Good quality and will last a long time. Needs refrigeration once opened.

Brilliant product - a new favourite!
This product is brilliant and it tastes great! I've had no problems with it whatsoever and I use it so much now. The first time I ordered this, one of the jars arrived broken, but I was reimbursed straight away. The second time they arrived perfect :)I highly recommend you go through with purchasing this product as you'll be very happy that you did.

Beware - can cause visual disturbances!
I'm sure this is perfectly good Miso soup paste - but within ten minutes of me making a mug of soup with it (only with water, and no other ingredients) i was getting vividly colourful, zig-zag visual disturbances, and partial loss of peripheral vision. i've never had a migraine, so it wasn't until i Googled this that i found it can be caused, among other things, by Miso paste. it was extremely frightening, but fortunately only lasted about ten or fifteen minutes. please - for migraine sufferers and non-migraine suffereres alike - be aware that this could possibly happen to you!I now have three jars of Miso paste which i'm going to have to dump, or perhaps donate somewhere - though i hesitate to donate them, after this very unpleasant and scary experience.

Good product, shame about the delivery state
Ok. Box of 3 arrived but one was completely smashed .. broken glass only held together by the paste. As it was glass, Amazon didn't want it back so fair play to Amazon, refund, as I didn't want the same again! So had 2 jars, and it good, as expected. Had this before, bought from a health food store. Makes a good stir fry.

Taste as expected, binds nicely with the dashi
I make a miso soup out of it. I use half of the jar per a litre of dashi (six heaped tablespoons of miso per a litre of dashi). Binds nicely with the dashi with a little help of a fork. Makes a tasty soup. Can't really say anything bad about it.
