Finally tried it out for myself. Surprised, in a good way!
I’ve sprayed many things as a DIYer with rattlecans and like to think I recognise goods and bads with certain brands and how they cover/spray. Each have their own damn mind, just like this plasti dip product. But that’s not a bad thing, it just means you’ll need to get a feel for the application after a coat or two and luckily this stuff seems pretty forgiving. You’ll encounter the odd blotching as the nozzle may become slightly guncky after a minute and must be wiped clean with a rag and/or your finger nail after each coating. The blotching if *lightly* sprayed over while wet will just blend in as it dries and become part of the finish. Don’t hesitate and try cover it over with a lot of spray or attempt to physically recover any blotching. It will settle and dry near invisible with the finish. My application was on a set of alloy wheels and involved some trickery angles to reach into the spokes, which on occasion (whilst wet) looked like I had made a hash job, but don’t try anything foolish like whacking more on or touching it. Continue with the rest of the coat and take 10-15mins to not stress. Revisit on the next coat and you’ll find it all looks like the same even coverage, it’s pretty forgiving like I said. I’ve never used this product before and it did have me questioning it at times. But after a finial (relatively heavier) coat I had emptied a can on one single alloy wheel and left it for 4 hours before peeling the excess off the tyre sidewall [5 coats in total for me]. Which btw is very satisfying, and if your careful you can have it off in one long rubber band, this is the point you’ll notice what this stuff is made of when dry and it’s surprisingly durable. It’s not enough to protect your rims when you go bouncing it off curbs or rocks but I can see it holding up very well against airbourne particles and tiny stones when travelling. YouTube and Google searches will also tell you of people’s experiences of it holding up years if applied to a very clean and well prepped surface. Put the work, attention and patience in, and you’ll be surprised like me. Give it a bash! (Not into curbs tho)

it is very good. A few tips from me
I am really impressed by this product, it is very good. A few tips from me;1) Watch a couple of online videos before using it to give you a good idea of how to use it.2) Take your time and build up layers. I waited 30-40 mins between coats.3) When you have completed a coat turn the can upside down and spray until nothing comes out, this is esstential to stop the nozzle from clogging.

Amazing product
I used this product to transform my PS5. Wasn’t a fan of the stock white as it didn’t compliment my set up.I let the can sit in warm water for ten minutes before spraying. This helps the paint within the can equalise with room temperature. This help prevent the pain becoming thick or otherwise less uniform. It took 4 light coats to cover and I did a 5th to finish off. The more coats you add the easier it will be to remove if you ever need to.Excellent results with a fine uniform finish.

Best diy spray product on the market.
I only found out about this product recently, where has it been all my life? it’s amazing, so easy to use just build up the layers no need for primer or lacker.I sprayed a diffuser panel on my car it looks fantastic, this stuff just does run easy to spray anyone can do it .Please note if your thinking one can will go along way your wrong it doesn’t, but who cares it’s a great product, just bear in mind if you’re spraying your alloys get 3 tins not one .Also come back to me in a few months to see how it’s lasted.

Works well, requires many coats though
I used this to paint the rubber lip at the bottom of a garage door which was cracked and previously painted red. I took the advice listed here, leaving the can in hot water for a few minutes before using and shaking very well. Happy with the results, the spray was even and I was able to apply accurately. I needed about 8 coats to complete the job satisfactorily but a bit of patience prevailed and I'm happy with the job

Plasti Dip Me Up - Quality Product
Brilliant stuff. Used on exhaust pipes which I had stupidly bought on here and were more prone to rust than anything else.Easy to apply, and stays on by the looks of it. Been on for 6 months plus, and will now be tested against winter. This is great stuff, with plenty of options, and the matt Black is quality.

Love Hate relationship
Products tried:1 can of matte black plastidipCardip from cardipuks websiteObservations:While Cardipuk's plastdip is cheaper by 40-50% it is considerably thinner sprayable plastic compared to the original performix plastidip in this comparison/review.The peelability of cardipuk was in my experience, pretty horrible due to being so thin - sure it obviously works on cars but I wouldn't recommend it for plastics or anything with texture other than hard smooth surfaces I.e. metal. This is where plastidip comes in. Immediately I fell in love with the sprayability, speed of drying and peelability - big difference! Its very novice friendly and fun to play around with. While being more novice and D.I.Y friendly, as well as being far better suited to other surfaces than primarily metal, I found plastidip to be 'accident prone' for example: any runs would ruin the previous/after coats, flies absolutely love the smell and head straight for it if spraying without a boothe, cans do not last long and that becomes expensive fast, especially applying top coats for added protection from scratches etc.The appeal is the peelability which I do support, plastidip excels here and I would recommend for the smaller jobs to not only keep costs down but to prevent frustration with uneven applications on larger projects and having to start over multiple times because one thing went wrong or a tear began.I've given 4 stars because I do believe it is a great product and was really fun to use and would be 5 stars easily if you know what you're doing although, I just feel there's a learning curve to spraying without texture that would take multiple cans to get right whereas I could use regular paint and have proper adhesion, ability to sand between coats and have a lot more mileage to a can half the price without so much trial and error.
