Burgon & Ball GSC/HOE Sophie Conran Ergo Hoe

This is a brilliant garden tool. British made, no plastic. It is truly my go to now for small bedding work in and out of established plants. Like a full sized hoe you can quickly skim over small weeds that appear without lifting out or driving bit deeper to root our more established weeds, but closer to the ground with finer detailing. All areas I have used have benefitted from the quick cuts the tool provides. As the angle of the cutting edge against your wrist is very ergonomic, very little wrist strength is needed to till the soil. It's so good I bought a second one just in case. Keep the wood handle oiled and clean the metal in some wd40 every now and then and you are good to go. If you bought this as a gift for anyone keen on gardening they will thank you endlessly!

Sophie Conran has come up trumps again with the ergonomic design of this lovely hand hoe. Cuts through even the hardest of baked soil to separate weeds from their roots. I use it for hoeing in tight spaces on my allotment instead of an onion hoe. It is really good between beans, onions, asparagus, etc. Dispatches the weeds without disturbing the roots of the vegetables. I just wish the handle was a little bit longer (like some of the other Burgon & Ball tools) as I have fairly large hands. But it is very satisfying to use as the weeds do not stand a chance. A very effective garden tool.

So easy to use, pulls weeds out instantly and over turns the earth. Being disabled this tool has made life a lot easier for me. Would most definitely buy again from this company. Made very well and strong really happy with my purchase thank you

It is difficult to work out how you use it. It seems fine but I wish the device came with a picture showing which way round you use it! It doesn’t seem to me to have a sharp edge on any side. It is not intuitive.

This little hand tool is both beautiful and useful. Like other purchasers, I can report tiny imperfections in manufacture such as a slightly rough wooden handle and a metal joint which could have been neater but overall, it looks lovely and works perfectly. It is small, neat and has quite an angle to it. In use, it allows a very different weeding action as you reach out, press the blade into the soil and draw it towards you, lifting the target weed as it is comes. Anyone who finds a trowel or hand fork difficult to use for long will appreciate this little gem. It is a minor point, perhaps but if it is to be given as a gift, it arrives in a very nice box. Very, very pleased.

I have only used this once to date but once I realised which way round to handle it I found it a great tool to use. I think the trick is to weed a small area at a time and then collect the weeds . Usually after I have been weeding I get a lot of hand and wrist pain but I did not get this after the hour or so that I used this.

Great size, fits nicely in my hand and easy to use. Quality item and should last me for years.

My favourite tool ever! I always weed on my hands and knees so this is absolutely perfect for me. Slices through even the hardest of earth with ease - such a treat to use. Beautifully packaged - I’ve bought a few as presents. Only downside is that it’s camouflages perfectly... I’m a professional gardener and have lost a few in other people’s beds! Need to wrap it in red tape or get better glasses...

Das beste Gartengerät für Frauenhände. Ideal für kleine Gärten und Beete, liegt es gut in der Hand und man arbeitet damit ergonomisch. Mit wenig Kraftaufwand lockert man die Erde und zieht das Unkraut heraus. Meine Hacke war nach 2jährigem Einsatz wie vom Erdboden verschwunden und wahrscheinlich in der Biotonne gelandet. Ich habe mir gleich Ersatz bestellt, da mir dieses Gerät sehr fehlte. Der Holzgriff ist sehr handschmeichelnd , auch den Karton kann man gut weiter verwenden. Empfehle dieses Gerät gerne.

J'ai déjà commandé ce produit pour moi - là c'est pour un cadeau. Ce produit est très bien - pratique pour desherber à la main et efficace - de plus c'est un très bel objet - de fabrication très soignée. Le prix est un peu élevé mais il est largement mérité.

Meine Frau arbeitet damit sehr gerne, sie macht damit überwiegend ihre Pflanzlöcher.
