Update 2020 - I first reviewed this cover in December 2013. Almost 7 years later, that cover is still going strong (and so is my iPod!). Pretty worn looking, but doing its job. So A+ for durability, despite the fact that it's without the clip.Original review from 2013:First time I used the clip it detached and my ipod fell to the ground. I don't feel it is well designed to clip securely so I haven't used it since. But the flip cover fits well and feels good. and after all, the clip doesn't matter so much.... on my old cover I used the clip so that the controls wouldn't inadvertently be actived from carrying the ipod in my bag or pocket. But since now they are protected by the cover, that doesn't happen. So overall, it works.

When I saw it I thought right away this is what I wanted. I have a 160gb I pod which I only bought 2 weeks ago and it did not come with a wallet hence the purchase of the wallet. The I pod does not fit completely into the wallet and the top cover does not come down properly and this affects the closure of the front cover. The product is well made from good quality material and I shall continue to use it to give it time to "grow". This is what I did with the wallet I bought for the I Pod I have just disposed of and that one served me for about 15 years which I think the new one will do the same given proper treatment. sidertom.

This product was delivered to me in a few days. It is of good quality and value for money. It is fit for purpose in every respect, it's well made, slim-line and durable.The ipod fits perfectly and securely inside, allowing unrestricted access to the click wheel, dock connector and headphone port and a full view of the display screen. The screen protector(whilst is a bit'bubbly') on the screen is an excellent idea although you don't have to use this and maybe I haven't applied it correctly. The case is quite a tight fit and as I also frequently use a docking station I struggled a bit to release the I Pod. However, after a few times this has become slightly easier and the case has not become too big for the I-Pod. This case is for my second i-pod and I am so glad I chose this case to protect it as I made the silly mistake of not protecting my other one. Where as the I-pod functions are still in good working order the I-Pod looks like it is ' well travelled'For all you I-Pod lovers this is certainly a worth while purchase ^_^

I am a tad tough with my iPod. I've taken it up mountains, to the beach and basically anywhere where it would break. I also wear leather jackets and these, let's say, have very sturdy but non pliable pockets. This case has survived a LOT of use, in rather inhospitable places. It's got some wear marks and some fraying but in terms of all the cases I own for phones, credit cards etc, this is the ONLY apple case that has survived. The best cases for me were the iRiver leather cases which they supplied with the products for their H340 range. This has a similar durability. Recommended....

With regard to cases for phones and mp3 players there is always a trade off between protection and access - increase protection and you decrease access to the device. This well-fitting case does provide excellent protection for the classic iPod, with the flip cover protecting the screen and the control wheel but still giving you access to the headphone socket. You also have access to the connector on the bottom but mine would not connect to my dock while in the case (although obviously you don't need the iPod protecting while it's in the dock).My case was not supplied with a screen protector, as noted in other reviews.

The second one of these I've had and it has helped keep my I-pod in great condition. Only thing I would change is to have a slot rather than a hole for the earphone socket, so you can flip the cover with them still plugged in and not strain the plug or cable..

I bought this to replace the previous cover which I had for about 8 years and which was starting to signs of age. This provides perfectly adequate protection in my view. The build quality is certainly better than my previous cover. I have no doubt that a protective cover such as this is well worth the cost. My iPod still looks as new after 8 years of constant (several hours) daily use.

When you pay over 150 for an ipod, you want a case (or a cover) to do the job and do it well.In my opinion this one does.This leather case is sturdy but slender - it has a strong belt clip and magnetic flip cover (favorite feature). It also gives you clear access to wheel and screen, as well as earphone and charger ports.The leather case itself is well made and fits my ipod like a glove.All of the above is what I want from an ipod case.I must add - the case that was delivered did not have the same logo as the case shown in the photo (in fact it looks be the same as the Easy-i leather case) but I don't have an issue with this.All in all, swift delivery for a super case, that looks so much more than the price I paid.Result: very happy indeed!
