Ce petit livre en anglais de 225 pages est intéressant. Il contient des informations tel qu'un bref historique sur le tartan, de brefs historiques sur les différents clans qu'il mentionne, ainsi qu'une image de leurs tartans (modernes ou anciens), leurs devises, les plantes ou arbres emblématiques de ceux-ci, noms des chefs, l'images de leurs emblèmes héraldiques et pour la majorité, des liens internet menant à des sites consacrés à des associations de ces clans où l'on peut trouver d'autres renseignements.Côté format, ce livre est très compact, c'est le cas de le dire. Il tient dans une main, littéralement. La police d'écriture est petite, mais se lit tout de même bien. Une table des matières aurait été bien apprécié pour pouvoir s'y retrouver plus facilement.

The quality of the images of the tartans are very poor, many of them are so washed out that colours like blue, black and green can't be told apart and the whites look yellow in many if the images.Many of the more well known tartans such as the Stewart tartans are missing granted this is a compact book but to miss out tartans like Royal Stewart left me a bit puzzled, and some of the tartans that are there are either missing large parts of the tartan or are not even the correct tartan when cross referenced with the Scottish Register of Tartans or even with a quick Google search.Not worth the money.
