Matlock: Season 5

Possibly the best show is "The Personal Trainer". Ben Matlock's new roof is leaking; he's mad, complains to the roofer, but before his roof can be repaired, the roofer is arrested for murdering his wife's personal trainer Harry, a trainer whose services were in high demand by all the ladies. Ben reluctantly takes the case. There are some great lines in this one.This season's supporting characters in order of how many shows in which they appear:15 shows - PI Conrad McMasters. In "The Cover Girl" he has his most dramatic role - falling in love with a beautiful model.13 - Lt. Bob Brooks. Continues in a minor role.12 - Associate Attorney Michelle Thomas. In "The Mother" she brags to Conrad that she can get any man by signaling the 3 "A"s (that she is Approachable, Agreeable, and Available). Conrad bets her fifty dollars that she can't attract Ben Matlock . . . and the fun begins! Perhaps one of the funniest bits done in any Matlock.8 - Prosecuting Attorney Julie March. No standout episodes.3 - Les Calhoun (Don Knotts). Only a few minor comic bits.3 - Miss Hawkins. Ben's new housekeeper's days are obviously numbered when she annoys Ben in "Nowhere to Turn."3 - Miss McCardle. Ben's second housekeeper fared no better as she annoys Ben in "The Man of the Year."Overall: These shows are good enough to watch many times.Media: DVD - 2010. Color & Contrast: good to excellent. Sharpness: All episodes appear to be equal to that of the original broadcast, with the exception of "The Narc" which shows telltale sawtooth edges on lines and shapes, indicative of being recorded at low resolution. Sound: excellent. Subtitles: English.

I am a huge fan of Andy Griffith and Matlock! I watched it since it came out and still do to this day. I love Andy Griffith’s portrayal of Ben Matlock. He was hot-headed and cursed sometimes, especially when he says ‘jackass’ but he was a good guy with a heart of gold. I love that he loves hot dog and he is a penny pincher too. Every episode had great stories, twists and turns. I love the humor!

Very displeased with the inside of the DVD case. It was completely broken leaving plastic floating around to scratch the DVD’s & no secure way to store the DVD’s in that case.

Work Well on my American DVD player, the cover is in German, on the DVD you can pick English, it all works great clear picture.

Great show with an excellent cast! DVDs arrived in perfect condition.

This is another season of Matlock that I bought because my husband and I both liked the series. This again was well packaged etc. (as it has usually been done). I bought it from Import CD's this time because ordering it this way through amazon.ca was cheaper. If you are in no tearing rush to get products then -- sometimes getting things like these is better through the US sites that work with amazon.ca. I would recommend this and the use of importCDs.com to anyone who likes to look for a good deal when buying movies etc.

I received Matlock: Season 5 very quickly in the mail. It was a gift for my brother's birthday and he was so pleased with it. This is one of his favorite series ever produced. I was very pleased with the service provided and intend to continue purchasing the rest of the Matlock series through this website.
