Perfect when out and about
When you’re trying to get a fire started, there are a number of different tools that can tackle the job. But too often, the outdoor elements can pose some serious challenges, foiling your attempts to get a light. Wind is an especially tough foe, and it has the power to snuff out a traditional lighter in just seconds. If you’re tired of struggling to get a light in unpredictably windy outdoor environments, it’s time to try a new kind of lighter: a windproof lighter. This lighter is perfect in all conditions and has never let me down. I can highly recommend this product it is perfect for me when i am out fishing in all conditions. A++++

Windproof Lighter
I’ve had a ‘TurboLighter’ for many years and am pleased with it. But its three drawbacks are, that it’s heavy even when empty; it’s made of metal and therefore you can’t see how much fuel remains; the operating thumb/finger is within 1/2” or 13mm of the flame. So you can’t operate it for more than a few seconds, so pretty useless for sealing rope ends. This lighter is semi-transparent, so you can see if you’ll have enough fuel for the day/trip. It’s made from thick plastic, so not weighty like the ‘Turbo’. And crucially for me, the operating thumb, is 1 1/2” 38mm from the flame. I’m thinking this will be my goto lighter of choice.

Disappointed
Doesn't work as well as expected. Quite stiff to operate and hold down though i guess that will ease with use. flame flickering out after a couple of seconds. But hey it wasn't expensive and it does what it's meant to.

Looks good, feels good. Outlasted expectations too!
Doesn't feel like so many of the cheapo plastic clicker torch lighters out there that break in under a week. This doesn't feel like one of those. Looks smart, feels quality - even a step up from a similar product only a year ago.High hopes. To be clear, this is a lighter for a smoker's pocket, it is not going to be suitable for use in your kitchen.*** UPDATE ***This lighter lasted me for six (6) months of daily use. I think that is absolutely incredible for a lighter and an exceptional return on my investment. I will be ordering 2 more, 1 as replacement for my pocket and the other for for who knows in my random man drawer. This will be my personal go to choice and top recommendation going forward unless/until something happens to change my mind. Excellent product.

Managed c.64 uses before it stopped working
Updated review8 months post purchase, and following weekly use (specifically used twice a week to light one piece of charcoal in each occasion), this lighter has now completely given up the ghost. At first, the strength of the flame diminishes significantly, and then it stops working altogether.I emailed the seller and received the following response : “hi its well out of returns policy sorry”Disappointing that it hasn’t survived for longer than 8 months, lack of warranty and with the sellers response. Worth noting that 2 uses a week over 8 months equates to the lighter being used c. 64 times !!!! Not that much really.Avoid for those planning heavy use. Lighter now in the bin.Original reviewArrived within a few days, half filled, and blue coloured as I requested. Great start. It stands a c.8cm tall and has a base diameter of c2.5cm.Easy to use, simply remove the cover and firmly press down the 'ignition'. The cover is attached to the lighter by a chain, so cannot be dropped or lost.I have used it daily for lighting firelighters - press and keep pressed until it has taken. It works perfectly, even when windy. Windproof !! Also worth mentioning that because of the angled head, which points away from the ignition, and the way it's meant to be held, I did not burn my thumb or fingers. The flame size can be adjusted. At -, the flame reached c.1.5cm whilst at its maximum is approximately double that. The power of the flame can actually be felt a couple of cms further. See pictures for flame at minimum and maximum. After use, add the cover back on, but avoid touching the output nozzle as it remains hot for a short while (unsurprisingly).A highly recommended windproof blow torch. Refillable gas too, via the base.
