Behringer UM300 Ultra Metal Distortion Effects Guitar Pedal, Pink

Much better than I expected. I used to have a Boss DS1 and didn't like the sound. This however, used on a low distortion setting and after my Behringer Vintage tube overdrive (which btw is excellent) produces a thick but "pleasantly dirty" sound just right for blues rock. It's dead useful that it has EQ settings too. A good choice.

Very good for price performance it's affordable and I can literally get any tone I wanted with this. İt has a very good sound quality it doesn't have delay the brightness is adjustable and the tone accuracy is very good also with my marshall amp I can't get the tones I wanted now I can with this one

I was quite apprehensive about ordering this pedal as it's £22 in reflection to prices of decent boss pedals and vox etc I thought I'd give this a try as I wanted something compact, this cuts the mustard 100% plenty of different levels you can mess with for different tones, the pedal is weighty considering it's compact size as per picture so it's well built inside by the feel of it, running off a battery atm well and getting a power lead for more stability during performance etc but I will definitely recommend and buy more of myself behrengher pedals

Pros: The Behringer UM300 produces a breathtaking variety of sounds, especially when using the 'Mid Freq' control, which gives the individual almost every kind of 'scooped mid' sound there is. This enables the pedal to provide many different types of metal sound, from vintage to extreme. With the 'Mid' and 'Mid Freq' controls set to zero, the pedal produces nice, slightly compressed grunge,vintage metal and classic rock sounds. The sounds are first rate and easily compare with pedals 3-4 times the price, resulting in superb value for money! This pedal could easily be used for professional recordings and gigs.The plastic chassis is strong enough to take on the road and I have gigged regularly with several Behringer pedals - they stood up to the test very well. Cons: The buttons on each side of the pedal have to be depressed simultaneously using a pen in order to lift the pedal tread to reach the battery inside.This can be a little tricky. I also used the UM300 with an amplifier modeler pedal. The sound of the modeler pedal significantly altered the tone of the UM300 in a negative way, In fairness, more time was required to tweak the UM300 under these circumstances, and all things considered, these are minor issues when taking the low price of the unit into consideration.

Well its a Distortion pedal and it distorts my guitar sounds.....job done. Seriously though this inexpensive pedal has a lot of options, I bought this one as it has more eq settings to play with than their other distortion pedals and I like to tweak, I am using it at the moment with a TC Electronics mojomojo overdrive, donner deluxe mini tuner, the EM600 Echo Machine and the RV600 Reverb Machine an old AM100 Acoustic Modeller a Nobels chorus (which I might change for a beringer one) all topped off with a Ditto Looper. Basically a whole rack of fun for not a lot of money given that apart from the AM100 and the Nobels and the ditto(all from ebay dirt cheap) I got the others all here on Amazon. I am still experimenting with the Ultra Metal but haven't found many sounds I don't like, you do have to tweak a bit though, turn it all to 11 and you will just get a huge very loud howling feedback, might appeal to an old Jesus and Mary Chain fan perhaps. And for the price you would be hard pressed to complain even if it only had one setting you used in one song you are still getting your moneys worth here. Not the first Behringer pedal I have bought and liked and won't be the last I'm sure. More Deep Red than bright pink too don't let the picture put you off.

For value, this product offers you a decent distortion for a good price. I checked out a few pedals and I found this online for £15.99. I bought it after seeing it demo-ed on youtube and was blown away by its sound. For Doom metal guitarists like myself, it's wicked. Its sounds are true metal and I'd also use it for classic rock riffs, too. I found the instructions okay to follow. The power source, a single 9v battery is placed beneath the footpedal and this can be awkward for some when fitting it. You simply get two ballpoint pens and push in the side hinges carefully. It's easy enough but for some, it could be fiddly. All-in-all, this is a good product. The controls are simple, the effects are deep and the sustain is what you expect. For now, I can't fault it. It works for me and my kind of music. I'd say it was a pedal that all metalheads need to add to their guitar arsenal. This was an excellent buy and the price was right.

Instant Metallica! Just add 14 year old guitarist. Behringer's clone of the infamous Boss Metal Zone. Near flawless clone of the original. Near identical sound from both and all the knobs are there. I owned an original Metal Zone, way back, and gave it to a young lad who had some lessons from me. Off he went inspired by this wee pedal. Job done. Fast forward 10 -15 years and I've only gone and done it again only much cheaper! I've now bought two of these as I gave the first one to a friend of my son's who is learning guitar and focusing on Metallica tunes. Unfortunately he didn't really have the gear to replicate that tone. Not anymore he doesn't. He's blazing away on this thing and quite frankly, so am I. Unbelievably priced at £20. It cost 5 and a half times that for a real MT-2! It seems churlish to mention the build quality of a £20 pedal. Seems durable enough. Just don't abuse it and you'll be fine. Essential purchase for any metal guitarist.

I have looked at all of the Metal distortion pedals on the market. This Ultra Metal pedal works great. It does have the background white noise if you turn the level and gain all the way up, but unless you want to spend $150 on a pedal they all have the same noise. Dial it back a bit and the noise goes away and leaves you with a hard and heavy sound. I checked YouTube and looked at the videos comparing this pedal to its competitors and found that this pedal is as good as ones twice the price. It gives my guitar the exact sound I wanted and the high, mid, and low dials let you tweak it until you get the sound you are looking for. This pedal is perfect for the beginner the intermediate and the seasoned player. If you are a professional guitar player and need one with studio or stage quality sound then obviously you will need to drop a large stack of money and get something better. But if you are not a professional then this unit is perfect for practicing by yourself or with a band. In other words, if you are Dave Mustaine or Tony Iommi you will want the best made, but if you are just a regular guy or gal that enjoys playing metal this one pedal works GREAT.

Em comparação aos TrueBypass que se encontra por preços menores a principal diferença da utilização do pedal Behringer foi o ruído, NADA de ruído branco. A qualidade dos componentes é impressionante o custo beneficio perfeito. Meu cubo é um Sheldon 10, e a Guitarra uma Maclend LPS600 nada de caro e absurdo, mas a mudança de qualidade do uso de um overdrive normal para esse pedal de distorção me impressionou, podem ir sem medo.
