Brilliant performance
I am absolutely delighted with this product. It may not be the prettiest blender or automatic, but it gets the job done and I've stopped looking about for fancy blenders supposedly the most powerful, 2000watts +, which don't compete. I would say its on a level with the waring extreme series professional blenders. The only difference between this and the vitamix 750series blender, apart from the price, is that the 750series is programmable, probably adding to the cost, otherwise the specs and performance are exactly the same (1200-1400watts)The vitamix 500 series blender is basically a programmable vitamix TNC (both 1000-1200 watts) and hence the increased price. The latest vitamix is the automated 780 and, probably vitmixes most attractive blender, which is 1550watts, therefore also an upgrade power wise from the pro 300 and 750series; although this does not appear to be much , these little differences are noticeable with a vitamix.I also have the TNC, which is very good, but power wise, this pro 300 is miles ahead, faster, no need to chop up things so much. This pro 300 will blend large pieces and whole fruit, as long as there's sufficient liquid. The TNC cannot blend a whole fruit, even when fully submerged in water, but it may be because the jug is narrower, so also need to use the tamper more. Apart from that, the TNC performs very well, and also outperforms other more powerful/ so-called commercial blenders. With the 300, You can just throw in whatever takes your fancy or eve left over fruit and veg you don't know what to do with, blitz, and it'll blend it to a tasty, creamy smoothie you won't know what's in it.I think you'll be hard pressed to find better performance, even with supposedly more powerful commercial/ domestic use blenders. There is also the additional 7year guarantee, postage included by vitamix.Vitamix describes this blender(the tag on the blender) as being for domestic and light commercial use, although it would invalidate the guarantee if used commercial.Cons:It heats up quickly, probably after a minute things start getting warm, but that's me over blending smoothies when there's no need to. Power blenders do heat things. Not a disadvantage when making soup. The jug spout could also be a bit better designed for pouring, as has been pointed out before.

I researched blenders for months, talking to blending enthusiast friends, and pouring over every review I could find. Narrowed my search down to a Vita Mix (and Blend tech, with Vita Mix taking the slight edge), so now needed to select a model - The new motor with a constant cooling fan is much better at cooling when the blender is used at slower speeds (less overheating and shutdown issues), the extra HP is always a good thing, but when combined with the wider base blender container and 4-inch blades it allows for much easier flow to the blades for larger items with less tamping (I rarely need to use the tamper). The ability for it to now fit under the counter is just another added bonus. So I was torn between the 300 Professional and the 750 Professional. Based on feedback from multiple blender friends, the presets on the 750 are not really needed (as they tweak nearly every blend to suit vs. a preset exact time) and actually the presets get in the way somewhat using the speed control.A unique feature I love is that IF the Blender is accidentally left on High (speed 10) and then turned off, when the unit is turned back on it starts back up at a speed 1 (so contents are not needing to be cleaned off the ceiling). Also it's actually a digitally controlled speed control, so i.e., speed #7 is the exact same RPM every time.I am beyond pleased with my choice of the VitaMix 300 Professional and would recommend same Make/Model to anyone looking for a top performance blender.I should add that the Vitamix Professional 300 is the same as the 7500 and the Creations Elite, except the creations elite has the 48oz container and each model has a unique cookbook. If you find my review helpful then please click helpful button below, as I write clear, concise reviews to help people to make a decision.

What a stunning piece of equipment
I only received this item today after having to send my previous Blendtec back due to problems. The Vitamix is a classy product and looks good and feels substantially made. The Creations Recipe book is a hardback book packed with some delightful recipes which I will enjoy making. Although the book is American it is easy to work with the majority of ingredients and recipes. The blender is easy to operate and although I had pre sets on the Blendtec I am sure I will have more control using the dials and switches of the Vitamix rather than pre sets. I set to work using it and today made my first anti arthritic smoothie in this machine followed by a pea soup and then strawberry ice cream. I was impressed how the soup and ice cream thickened and the food certainly tasted sublime. Although I enjoyed my Blendtec at first I think I will certainly enjoy the Vitamix more as I feel that it will be easier to work with and that it has the edge over my previous machine. Also because it seems more solid I think it will last a lot longer without problems. No offence to Blendtec as I did enjoy using that blender too until it started to have problems. Looking forward to posting a further review sometime later. I see my health as being of prime importance and I don't mind investing in a purchase which will improve my health and give me pleasure creating chef standard sauces, soups, desserts and lots of other healthy products. Now for a cappuccino made in the Vitamix.....

Robust, very high quality, makes very smooth blending
We've gone through many blenders over the years. Got fed up with them leaking or the motor burning out. We came across this. OK, it's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. I'm hoping this will last many years. We had previously spent between £20-£60 and would go through them in a year or less. I did consider ones in the £100-£200 range but then thought oh what the hell, just go for the best we can afford this time. Now this one is robust, strong and works well with no leaks. In addition, what you get is a very smooth blend which you don't get with cheaper blenders (disclaimer: we've not tried other blenders in the £100-£300 range). So far, we've been using this for about 16 months and is as good as new so I can recommend.
