Goldlok Holiday Express Battery Operated Musical Train Set (Multi-Colour)

Wife and kids really wanted the Polar Express train (waaaay to much money), but this is the next best thing. Yes it's plasticity, but it's not really a toy. It's a train to go round your tree, and it does just that.Like other reviews I also had problems with it coming off the track, but as soon as I clipped all the track down properly (bit fiddly and needs some pressure) no problems at all. Also the music is tinny and will probably annoy you. That's easily solved with some wire cutters.All in all for the price a great Christmas decoration addition.

The train set arrived, and it's very good for the price. The tracks are a bit kinky here and there, the music is really loud and you cant turn it off, so taking the train apart cutting the wire to the speaker helped a lot .I expected nothing fancy for £20, so I must say it's better than I thought it would be. a little hot glue gun solved the track problems :)

I looked every were for a Santa train set this train set was for myself!! Wanted it to go round my Christmas tree. Absolutely frilled as it was just what I was looking for and much more. No one is allowed to touch it because it mine,, excellent value for what I wanted it for. Not very good if u r wanting it as a toy as it does tend to keep falling off the track and a nightmare to line back up . But overall does the trick for me .

First thing I did was put it all together, second thing was get a screwdriver and take the silly thing apart!When running it plays one minute of shrill and annoying xmas music, this cannot be turned off without turning off the whole train, so I took it apart and pulled off the wires connecting the music! Can't be reversed but not sure i ever want it to be!The other issue is the nicest carriage (in my opinion) is the Santa carriage, this does not work, it is too light to stay on the track so it had to go, much to mine and my sons dissapointment. The train is only capable of pulling 3 other carriages without derailing, any of the other 4 can be put in any order so not a big deal to pick 2 or 3 at a time and alternate.But after all that the train is chugging happily along SILENTLY under the tree and it looks great, my boy watches it for ages, and its a perfect size. Overall I do love this train and a third of the price to the garden centre.

Great christmas train with lovely detail.We couldn't wait to set it up.Children had fun helping setting it up and watching it go round the track.Music is not too loud like I've read.

The media could not be loaded.  It's a great Christmas train it doesn't fell of the track if you put it in the right direction . I'm very pleased.

well made colourful lots of track I have sent it to spain for a little boy xmas im sure he will be excited by it
