Definitely for the lab/hobby use and not to be placed in the dishwasher.
Absolutely fantastic pair of scissors for the toolbox where the wife can’t see it. Super edge on the blades and useful extra functions included. This is going to be used only for lab/electronics use. If I leave it out it will end up in the dishwasher!

Best engineer/crafter's scissors you're ever likely to encounter
Absolutely Nothing to dislike at allPractical scissors with 14 different uses that I've found so far.The capacities and options are clearly stated in the packaging ,with photos and description in Japanese & English. It has, to mention just a few positive features ;virtually indestructible handles, multiple gripping options, blade edges& hardness value etched onto the face of the shears etc . etc. the list goes on.I have previously bought 3 others for myself and family members. The ease of cutting hard plastics, thick cardboard etc is very satisfyingAs someone with industrial guillotine technicaI expertise, I can fully appreciate this product.Highly recommended, please check product is the suitablefor your own requirements, this one is heavier duty than e.g. kitchen scissors

Excellent
The stainless steel of these heavy duty scissors are stated to have the Rockwell hardness of HRC 58 which means they will hold a good edge.CAUTION! Be very careful of the wire cutters! Mind your fingers!!!I put the scissors through a similar test as depicted in the video. Using the directions advised by the manufacturer, they cut very well. Their only rival are Leatherman Raptor Shears, except those are for professionals such as medical people such as first responders and Raptors' steel is 420HC Stainless Steel. The shears are comfortable to hold for having glass-filled nylon scales (handles). They can be bought on Amazon.Back to these scissors by ENGINEER. My only complaint are the handles and those nasty wire cutters. The handles, a drab olive green are plasticy, cumbersome and can be difficult for some hands. Their equally plastic sheath leaves a lot to be desired because extracting the scissors is difficult. Also note the sheath can not be attached to a belt, unlike the Raptor Shears. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you can afford. Having already had the Leatherman Raptors for many years and are still good, but at a price, these scissors - not classified as shears - are cheap and will be good for most domestic uses. The reason I gave only 4 stars is because their wire cutters could be dangerous, the scissors' handles are not too comfortable and their blades could rust unless they are kept dry and lightly oiled.

Essential for First Aid Kit
Very sharp. Very strong.I replaced the cheap junk shears in my FAK after discovering how useless they were, whilst trying to cut someone's long-haired dog free from brambles. This is not the situation you want to be in when you find out that your kit is junk. These replacements really are worth the money. The blade protection fits with a nice click and enough force so it doesn't fall off. The grips are sturdy and allow you to apply a lot of force - useful if you need to cut through brambles as thick as your thumb, or boot leather or very heavy cordura. Obviously there is no "guard" as with first aid snips, so caution needed if cutting tight clothing away from skin, and especially since the one scissor blade is semi-sharpened on the outside - good for splitting parcel tape - but so is a key.The serrations at the inside of the scissors work well to grip the thing being cut, so the force is applied directly to cutting, rather than the item sliding forwards out of the jaws as would be the case if there were no serrations. Great quality.
