The Sak Ashland Bucket Bag in Leather, Casual Everyday Purse with Removable Crossbody Strap, Handcrafted & Sustainably-Made

I'm not the girly girl that has 17 pairs of shoes, and a bag for every outfit. I only worry about bags and shoes for things like weddings, fancy parties, funerals...well you get the idea. I should note, I'm a vet tech who spends her days in sneakers and scrubs. A bag is to haul whatever doesn't fit in a pocket.Having said that....I SO love this bag! It's the second one purchased since I started the quest for the *right* one. It smells like good leather, (last one was a chemically cow'ish), it's big, but not TOO big. I'm not tall, and have a small build, and this bag hangs beautifully! It doesn't slid on my shoulder when I lean over, it stays put. Nice pockets, beautiful zippers, smooth one handed zipping. Leather is smoother than a babies butt.I've had leather bags in the past, but never spent this much money. I really had a hard time with the price...I mean, it's a purse, not a coat or something you HAVE to have.. Now I'm thinking that SAK could easily charge more and the bag would still be worth every penny! I got the blackbag with brown trim. I'm thinking that I should order the beautiful tarnish color one too.If you just aren't sure about the bag....give it a try, I bet you will be enthralled with the feel, smell, look, and quality.

This purse is lovely. Great quality, all the way around. Very soft leather, and ample space that was well thought out. The outside storage is really helpful (for phone, keys, etc.) I gave it a 4 star, only because the permanently attached strap isn't long enough to use as a crossbody, and the one that detaches, in my opinion isn't that attractive. I personally don't want an extra strap hanging off the purse, should I decide to use the crossbody. Why not have an adjustable leather strap?

This bag has improved my life. The exterior pockets are perfect. There are actually 5 exterior pockets - 2 of which fit my large cell phone. Normally I would think that a bag with this many pockets would look like sloppy cargo pants, but they are streamlined into the bag and look more like design vs. functional detail. The bag is large, but the leather is soft enough that it drapes perfectly. The shorter handle drop is perfect. The leather isn't beautiful, but it is fine. The reason for 4 stars rather than five is because it does seem like the short handle is a lower quality leather and I hope in the long term it doesn't break. This bag is worth the money. I bought it in black and can see myself using it for a long time to come.

The main part of the purse is a nice soft leather it is the PU parts of this purse that are very poor quality. I understood from the description of the purse that the contrasting brown color of the purse would be PU versus leather. I thought it being a SAK purse the quality of the PU would be good and durable however, neither expectation was met. The shoulder strap of the purse is a thin strap of PU that looks cheap and feels very weak for true durability. The other PU parts really don't come close to resembling a true leather. I was looking forward to getting this purse but I was disappointed when I unpacked it.

This purse looks great. The pockets are very functional and make it easy to find the car key and phone while still carrying everything a mother of three needs handy.

This bag is a bit bigger than I thought it would be. But I Love all the pockets, zippered pockets etc. The only thing I wish the smaller strap would come off.

Love the purse, it’s functional, got plenty of space and the colour is great, well made,, looks super, happy to own it

Just what I was looking for, the outside small zipper compartments could be a bit longer, other then that love this handbag.

If you are considering this bag, GET IT! It’s absolutely beautiful, the leather is so soft. The size of the bag is perfect!

Love all the pockets. Great quality. Only thing I would want different is for the shorter strap to be removable.
