Five stars, though leakage occured
I think this is my best brush pen yet, although I suppose regarding smaller ones, as its tip is so fine. It gives a variation of line depending on the pressure applied and the angle it is used at but you must remember the variation is not as great as in a brush tip like that of a Copic marker or other brush-tipped pen. I have been using it almost non stop for many days and often reaching for it again within short periods of time. I do not have access to all the things written or drawn with it, but the amount can be compared to 4-6 pages of A3 size, which include experimental writing, typography and doodles. Therefore, (to me at least) the pen holds a great quantity of ink which is pitch black and while it must be quite runny, it does not produce a watery effect, though the lines are clean and rather matte.Unfortunately, I reached for this pen a couple of days after coming back home from vacation and discovered it to be leaking heavily from the compartment around the tip, maybe even the back although I may already have stained myself with ink from the other part. I cleaned this up and have properly looked at it, two days later, to discover it works but shows signs of ink shortage which is not surprising, seeing how much I used it. I might blame the pressure and my thin backpack in which the pen was (along with other - though unharmed - pens, but non-brush ones) which I had on the plane, but cannot be certain. It's likely I'll purchase another to use and see how that one behaves, to also review on here. For now it's a full rating nevertheless :)

Good for the price!
I got this a few years ago when I first got interested in brush nib pens.Don’t buy this expecting something like the pentel pocket brush pen, or similar ones! This pen has a felt nib, which, with a lot of use, will begin to fluff and deteriorate. It’s still lovely and flexible, remaining quite fine though. It was a perfect introduction to soft nibbed pens, being cheap and disposable. It still works now, if a little bit dry looking, a few years later!

Excellent and versatile brush pen
This is a really nice and versatile brush pen, even though I'm not an expert with brush pens this one has been really easy to get to grips to. You can make really thin lines with a bit of control, and thicker ones, it has a pretty springy point, not too soft, so it's easy to control your line thickness. And the ink is really black (unlike other pens and inks that after a couple of minutes fade from black to brown/grey/greenish tones), the only drawback is that this pen's ink is not waterproof, so be aware of this when using it with watercolours or other wet media. I'm attaching a little drawing I did last night with it, the drawing is not a masterwork but you can see the different types of lines there. I'm definitely buying it again and again.

Trust me I work in Comicbooks for money
This will s a great pen to draw with, however the problem is its often expensive and runs out fairly quickly if you use it steadily. On the other hand this is one of the best drawing pens as you'll get plenty of line variance out of it. I work in Comicbooks, I've drawn official covers with them and they were printed world wide. If Only we could get the price down

Probably the best fineliner in the world, but to call it a brush pen? Hmmmm
I was initially disappointed to discover that this is a disposable pen, rather than the Sumi type that takes (very reasonably priced) cartridges. It isn't a brush pen by my definition, but rather an alarmingly smooth fine liner with some brushlike qualities. There is probably not a pen that I would rather use for lettering. One has a feeling of complete control, rather like silk drawing upon silk.I love Kurutake products so much that I keep the packaging. Come on Kurutake, make a cartridge version of this and I will certainly pay twice as much.

Versatile pen
One of the most versatile pens I have used in a long time , accidentally brought this pen thinking it was something else but ended up not disappointed at all . Easy to constantly change from thin to thick lines and doesn’t bleed too much onto paper which allows for a clean and sharp effect. Perfect for line work and sketching .

yet it is responsive to pressure without losing shape - just perfect for what I need
I've tried many brush pens in the past, but I found that almost all of them lose their shape and start to fray within the first couple of uses. This is a suprisingly firm nib, yet it is responsive to pressure without losing shape - just perfect for what I need. My only issue is that it isn't a refilable one. I have tried the Kuretake refillable brush pen but the nip isn't as firm.

A pleasant surprise!
I don't normally write reviews but I just had to review this. This pen was absolutely amazing! I'm not disappointed in the slightest bit, I would seriously recommend this pen for people who want different thicknesses in line. I was surprised when I tested to see how bold and how thin the line could go. Not to mention how good the quality of the pen is alongside the price. Definitely a notable purchase!
